He already had taken some Cabal before he/she entered our solar system.

Where's the evidence for that?

I doubt our solar system was the first time he had used his abilities. The Cabal are also at war with the hive. So there is a huge chance that some had been turned by the Taken King.

Edited by Moot: 6/23/2017 1:44:14 AMI'm fine believing that Oryx encountered the Cabal before entering our system, but there isn't much evidence nor is there much point of transporting taken subjects between systems when he can just leave them behind for insurance while replacing them with new ones.

Edited by Moot: 6/23/2017 12:41:56 PMWell, we know that the blights that accompany the taken spill darkness into surrounding areas and corrupt them. Perhaps a remnant of blight in the EDZ is found by the Red Legion and unintentionally corrupts them into leaderless savage taken subjects.

Sounds just as plausible. Since their blights are different to the original ones.
