How's that 45% tax rate working for ya.
-
Wouldnt know, not earning £150,000 a year m8. Average salary in the UK is £27k, which qualifies for a tax rate of 20%, and the first £11,500 of that is not taxed. Nice try.

-
That explains a lot.
-
I'm trying to find a stable job so I can buy an apartment/flat.
-
Yeah, and about half of all that you make you aren't gonna use. So, good luck.
-
Hey, before you judge someone else's life think about your own. I have met a lot of assholes in my time alive but none can compare to people who judge others just because of where they come from. I will use my money, I will spend it wisely. Not everyone is like what you see. Weed smoking, Alcholic, wannabe gangsters. I look at them in disgust and realise "Hey, at least I have the knowledge to live a stable life. So before you judge me think about what type of person you are talking to you asswipe. I could easily call you every stereotypical name. Football loving, beer drinking, cousin -blam-ing, gun shooting, money obsessed, redneck.
-
What? I said half of the money you earn you won't use because your country has a 45% tax rate, which is about half of all the money you earn. I never said I thought you were a drunken low-life who is irresponsible with money. Don't pop off at me with an undeserved novel of insults because you can't -blam!-ing read.
-
Oh, sorry, guess I caught the wrong end of the stick. I did not mean to I feel horrible now.
-
However, after all that hes still wrong as the average UK salary (£27k) only qualifies for the 20% tax bracket, with a personal allowance of £11,500. So only ~60% of your income is taxed, and only then at 20% not 45%. Roughly, you'd pay £3200 in tax on £27000. Not really 45% is it? ;)

Until Theresa May cuts the NHS...
-
The only people that get free health care in the UK are those that won't go out to work or the teenage girls that keep popping out babies every year or two just to get on the free housing ladder.
-
Why bullshit like that? Are you British?
-
Yes I'm British. Why is it bullshit?? I'm not saying that everyone is like that but there are a hell of a lot of people that just want to leech off society without giving anything back.
-
Yeah a small percentage do. But your original argument was that no one other than those people use it, which is false. Hence why I called bullshit.
-
Everybody uses the UK health service, whether they work or not. People who work in the UK pay into the NHS through tax and national insurance contributions taken direct from pay. Anyone who has never worked takes but never pays in, so not bullshit.
-
I know what National Insurance is. You realise people that never worked still pay certain taxes though? Even if it isn't directly National Insurance tax, people still pay VAT on everything they buy. That money doesn't go to individual government services, it goes to government and then is divided, not before. Ergo they still pay for the NHS. Less, maybe, but they still pay for it.
-
Interesting points. Still doesn't change the fact that there are a lot of lazy, bone idle people in the UK that take more than they could ever put in. And yes I'm quite aware that people on benefits pay a very small amount of national insurance from their money they receive.
-
I wouldn't call people who are disabled lazy/bone idle. There has only ever been a small amount of people who have cheated the system. It's not that common.
-
When did I mention the disabled?? I never said anyone was cheating the system either. My point is that there are a lot of people capable of working who choose not too. I happen to think disabled people get a rough deal in the UK as far as the benefits system functions for them, or not as the case may be.
-
How do you explain who these lazy people are then? If they're not disabled and not cheating the system, who are they?
-
Looking at it from that point of view then, yes, they are very much cheating the system. These people have opportunities to work but they say" not worth getting out of bed for". Been really good debating with you. You made some very good points. I apologize if I ever gave you the impression I was throwing a blanket over all those that for whatever reasons find themselves claiming benefits.
-
I don't care where you are from....HEALTH CARE IS NOT FREE!!!
-
Aye, but its a hell of a lot cheaper than what you all pay per capita. Also, having a baby doesnt incur outrageous hospital bills. Both my kids were born via C-sec, one of which was emergency. In America we'd have been plundered worse than black culture by white mainstream. Honestly, thats disgraceful.
-
Not its not. In my country 1% of our tax pays for it. 1% of my tax paid for my child to be born, check ups at home for 6 months, general practise, hospital visits, ultrasounds, medication etc. Although not free, it is a hell of a lot cheaper. It is available to everyone because everyone pays tax. It's an equal system that doesn't prioritize treatment for premiums.. insurance companies are the devil in the details, the government made them that way
