One dollar was a tip in 1985. In 2017, it is a stiff. The same applies to the coin change.

Most drivers keep a list of addresses that stiffed them. Don't forget, we know where you live. Good tippers get their food first. Stiffers get their food last.

If you are a stiffer and you order a soda, it will be shaken up the entire way over to your house.
Any you wonder why you get repeatedly stiffed. "That guy didn't tip well for whatever reason. Better -blam!- with him so he doesn't tip well next time either"

 • Why should I give good service when I know I'm not getting a tip? -blam!- those people. They can take their business elsewhere, will not affect the store or our profits.

 • Because an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. I can understand being pissed about not getting a tip but people who mess with other peoples food lose all respect from me. If I tip you poorly for whatever reason and the next time my soda explodes in my face or my pizza is beyond late and cold you bet you ass ill never tip that driver again.

 • Well since the drivers no longer expect a tip from your address anyway, you're not going to change any attitudes by stiffing them again. You'll just reinforce what they already know about you.

 • You don't mess with a man's money either, that's even more sacred.

 •
You'll just reinforce what they already know about you.
That maybe I didn't have a lot of cash and gave what I could? Or that the "30 minuets or less guaranteed" doesn't mean 45 minuets? Maybe instead of being spiteful you should just take pride in your work and do the best job you can regardless or gratuities.

Or that the "30 minuets or less guaranteed" doesn't mean 45 minuets? Maybe instead of being spiteful you should just take pride in your work and do the best job you can regardless or gratuities.
I always do the best job I can, however, I have no tolerance for assholes and cheapskates. We get enough business without them, if they stop ordering because their soda exploded we are better off without them because that means we will get to take another delivery that will result in a tip instead of theirs. The "didn't have a lot of cash" argument is a weak one. You can put a tip on the credit card if you pay that way, and if you're buying a pizza with the very last of your cash and you know you won't have enough for a tip, maybe consider picking it up yourself instead of stiffing the guy who brings dinner to your door. And "30 minutes or less guaranteed" is a thing of the past. Pizza joints stopped guaranteeing 30 minute deliveries ages ago, precisely because of people who used it as an excuse to stiff the drivers. They may quote you 30 minutes still, but you're supposed to understand that it may take longer depending on when you ordered. If you order in the middle of the dinner rush, it's going to take longer than 30 minutes. They really should stop telling people 30 minutes altogether, it's not always practical.

 • So you'd intentionally lose the company potential customers because some guy didn't give you that extra $2? It reminds me of the fast food workers who want $15 an hour but cant make a proper sandwich to save their lives. My point is repeatedly good service is more incentive to tip than repeatedly poor service. Iv ordered pizza before, told them id pay cash, then realized i only had a couple bucks for a tip. Yeah my bad for not planning ahead i guess but its not like Im gonna run out to the ATM to make sure my pizza guy gets a potentially undeserving tip. And for the record I always tip at least 15%. You get more for better performance.

 • When someone gives you repeatedly good service and still receives a mediocre tip or no tip at all, the incentive to provide you good service is gone. What is so hard to understand about that?
