Not really. Then you just get killed by the same things over and over again, reverting back to the same problem in year 1 where there is no weapon variety, which is the exact reason that both elemental primaries and reforging were taken out.

No, there's a lot more than that. I see people using different primary and secondary weapons all the time. Primaries (Y2): Last Word, Mida, Hawksaw, PDX, Uni, Hung Jury, Zhalo, Doctrine, Soulstealers, Red Specter, and Eyesluna are the most common. Primaries (Y1): Last Word, Thorn, Red Death are pretty much the only ones. Special (Y2): 1k Stare, LDR, Longbow, Conspiracy Theory, Party Crasher, Burden of Proof, Thesan, Havoc Pigeon (if rolled well) Special (Y1): LDR, Efrideet's, Felwinter's, Party Crasher The reason we see more Crucible variety in Y2 is because you can't just find a weapon with good base stats and then give it god rolls. It's much harder to get god rolls, meaning the community branches out to other weapons. Granted giving people a Conspiracy Theory with god rolls was a bad idea on Bungie's part. Granted, I do run Hung Jury/1k/Quillims for PvE, but I spent the time to get those weapons with good rolls, as compared to Y1 where any fool with a Felwinter's could reroll it into a slaying machine
