PvP toxic self limiting mentality will never allow it. Bungies lack of perks that are beneficial encourage everyone to roll for the exact same things, but they will never add viable perks to increase your options therefore diversity, infact they will actually remove the few beneficial ones we have left. Someone had the idea of giving your weapon and paying x price to the gunsmith and then waiting for next armsday for 3 rerolled options.

It could be brought back but there would have to be more restrictions on it. Like you can only reroll a gun once, if its worse too bad. Or you have to sacrifice another gun of the same rarity to reroll plus the usual motes, mats, etc.. like for infusion.

If people are so desperate for their "god roll" then it should be very annoying to have to reforge. 150 marks and being reforgeable only once a week sounds fair as it stops people just spamming the gunsmith until they get what they want.

those arguing against mostly point to HOW days when there were actually some amazing perk combos those perks either -don't exist anymore -nerfed to useless making a weapon less crappy is about all re-forging would do these days I really don't care if it comes back or not - I guess I would in the sense that it sucks to be looking forward to a certain item to drop and when it finally does, it has a garbage roll and there is nothing to be done about it... I would like to see elements changeable on all weapons like chroma or have primaries change according to subclass (kind of like Susanoo) if nothing else, special/heavy elements should be re-rollable - dumb to waste a good item just because you already have one with the same element and you could really use it in a different element

The only way I would be for this- You need a gun smith writ to do it. The only way to get a gunsmith writ is by leveling up a rank with the gunsmith. 1 rank=1 writ 1 writ and 25 legendary marks to reforge a gun. The better the perk, the harder it will be to get. It will never roll two god perks on a single weapon. The reason why- [spoiler]for some of you that remember HoW PvP, you should remember the hellish combo that ruled the games. Thorn/last word/hawkmoon High impact shot gun rolled with the two most op perks Why the writ? Because 1. It give people a reason to level up the gunsmith and 2. It makes it harder to reroll. It was too easy to reroll in HoW which is why shot guns pretty much topped the kill list. Why make the better perks hard to get? the fewer weapons with an OP perk, the better. Why no two god perks on a single weapon? To avoid getting those perks/guns nerfed. Last thing we want to do is accidentally get our god arsenal nerfed to dirt. Plus it leaves the availability of different play styles Balance.[/spoiler]

So that everybody can have the god roll longbow or party crasher. Don't think so.

for a reasonably high price yes. not something 20 strange coins, 100 motes, 75 legendary marks something like that
