Just get hive kills with the husk of the pit and eventually you can turn it into the legendary version, then you just need to max that out(no special materials needed except maybe like spin metal), then you'll need to get the crux from CE hard mode once the legendary version is maxed out.

You forgot to mention the embalming orb from Eris morn. He will need this to turn the husk of the pit into the eidolon ally. Then it's off to hard mode Crota and pray the crux drops.
