The only thing this game ever really had going for it was the Halo gunplay and the name behind it.
The quality of the work being put into this game barely existed.
After Forsaken is when the game took a huge turn for the worst because this business was preparing for Activision to leave and the only thing this business has done with this game since then was sell gimmicks and lies to get most of you to throw money at the screen and it worked.
The funny thing is money you guys threw at them was barely being put into this game so they could spend it it on more broken projects. The only effort put into "The Final Desaster" was the campaign, just enough to sell this DLC and say "See" We put some effort into it, but we won't tell you we left the rest of the game as screwed as it has been for many years.

The gunplay has always been phenomenal though. Not peerless, but excellent all the same.

IMO this game never would have made it this far without that. It's the one thing that sticks out the most and has been enjoyable about the game.

Absolutely. The way hand cannons felt to me in D1 carried me all the way to Taken King until I was like "Wait. So that third slot on the subclass menu that was clearly an empty slot......."

Paying for a release is not throwing money at the screen. People that do work should be payed for that work. People like you who clearly diddnt pay for any of the work don’t have a right to speak on it. You will still spew the toxic drivel on a game forum on a game you don’t play, but that doesn’t make it useful of wanted in any way.

Also, you do know the devs get paid whether any release is successful or not, right? I'm pretty sure when this developer outsources work if the one that did the work didn't get paid those people would be really pissed off that -blam!- would hit the fan. I don't get the flawed logic that people use about work when it comes to gaming. Look at the CEO, he didn't care about the franchise. The only thing he cared about was his wallet and from what I understand he is leaving within the next year or so, and his future is set financially. Getting paid for doing work is one thing, but getting paid to do a half-assed job is a whole new story bud and you are not going to tell me all these devs were working because "they cared about the product". Hmm, news to me. Is this the new BS you kids try to push off today because that is funny?

I never said anything about pre-ordering. If I want something, I work hard for my money so I spend it as I choose to. I expect to be compensated for my work, as should everyone else. You don’t pay, you dont get to participate in certain things. I pay because I like the game and all that goes with it. Live service is still relatively new in the gaming landscape. Still lots of kinks to work out, like connectivity and balance, which seems to be quite difficult, though I have no idea because that’s not my wheel house. I get people are passionate about this game and the history of this company and people are taking business decisions incredibly personally. It’s a game. It’s fun. I play it.

Halo gunplay? The game you can't aim down sights in? Halo gunplay is the reason I didn't play halo.

My friend said the same thing about not being able to run in a full body armor space suit until I showed him theatre mode.

I've tried halo, I wanted to enjoy it I really did but I can't get past having to hipfire. Same with 3rd person games, just can't enjoy playing like that. I do need to branch out, I even have gamepass ultimate but only play destiny & a tiny bit of cod

I'm the same way about hipfire tbh. Tjat's why I only use the scoped guns in Halo. But I also try to use hipfire anyway bc it reduces your acquisition time and helps you pull off "pop-shots" better. And as for third person, I hate it. Unless it's a horror game, I will not play it.
