If this is where I give feedback so be it, EDGE OF FATE is the worst thing you people have ever done. I find it totally boring and uninspiring topped off by the most woeful power grind in the history of gaming.
No wonder the games numbers are so low
EOM

Portal is so boring

The story was better than usual. Using it as additional content was a bit lazy. To me it feels like removal of vendor reputation was to keep a lower population in a narrow band of activities for matchmaking purposes. Seems like a lot of players made it to 550 or at least the guaranteed tier 5 drop range. It wasn’t worth the effort to me. Crucible? One match 4.0 next one 0.17 lol.

Edited by rancidman2: 11/11/2025 6:02:39 PMDidn’t buy EoF but I’ve tried eof about 4 chapters in on a friend’s account, and well I decided it’s not for me couldn’t get on with the spark thing and don’t really like Kepler, and I also didn’t like the game reset. I think it was to much in one go, I detest the portal and all the stupid modifiers, game play is still good but bungie has pushed me away from playing to repetitive and tedious.

I wrote this about EoF on another thread in regards the to number of times Bungie has -blam!--d up over the years. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/265055410/0/0/1
The unmitigated cluster--blam!- that is EoF looms on the horizon like the crowning 💩 of all Bungie’s bungles. EoF :- IMHO the only good in the EoF release was the story and the armor changes. I hate Kepler, it’s a -blam!--ing rabbit warren with an uninspired palette and feels like a poor Destiny clone destination. I could go on about the Portal, but why bother. Suffice to say if you could point at one thing that ruins this game, it’s the Portaloo. Older raids and dungeons being left abandoned, (and dungeon lairs in the Portal are NOT the answer.)
I also wrote this post on the 10th July about Edge of Fate. I love being right, but hate that I was proved right in this instance. 😔
This is going to be a 💩show. Now as many people, who consistently defend Bungie and D2’s current trajectory, will tell you these numbers aren’t accurate, because of x, y and z. They are the only numbers we have for comparison. However they will be the most accurate they can be at 5:01pm UTC on Tuesday 15th July. External Sights Emblem for preordering EoF. 394629 https://emblem.report/3992231371 Paracausal Path Emblem for preordering TFS. https://emblem.report/54004492 1690278 So Edge of Fate has less than a quarter of the preorders that TFS had, and TFS was considered a failure. 394629/ 1690278 = 0.233 x 100 = 23.3%. Just so that’s -blam!--ing clear. 5 days out from the launch of their new 6 year saga, Bungie has managed to convince less than a quarter of those it convinced into preordering TFS, to preorder EoF. I wonder why that is?🤔🙃 I have a list. World Tiers Soft sunsetting of my weapons Seasonal sunsetting Bonus damage/resistance on new gear Exotics being left behind it the new tier system Exotics being left behind in terms of whether they get the new seasonal bonus or not. Increased grind for grind sakes, it’s been calculated at 90+ hours of targeted grind just to get Tier 5 gear to drop The Portal being too convoluted and text heavy for the sake of apparent versatility. Just make preset difficulties that we can swap out some modifiers. Or better yet, get rid of haste, oscillation and the other modifier that creates exploding ammo and engram drops and just add more Banes/ Champs to preset difficulties. The resetting to 10 Light Level, essentially locking us out from all the endgame content we have already purchased, forcing us to engage with this new system even if we don’t buy the “DLC”. In my opinion this is the Diablo4-ification of the game. And I despise it. Destiny is not a true MMO, so why is Tyson Green and the rest of the management so enamoured in turning it into one? 5 RepliesCurse of Osiris was better than this.
-
3 RepliesWell said. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. The game is in a crappy place, and it doesn't look like it's gonna get any better.
-
3 RepliesEof story was good.. everything else has been lacking to say the least
-
4 RepliesThe only thing good about EOF was Debra Wilson’s first rate acting. There was nothing about Lodi or Orin, that wasn’t magnified and delivered more impressively by Ikora (Debra). Ikora was ripped from existence and her child, became the most noble the vanguard could produce, and still had push herself through a perpetual evisceration inside a nuclear reactor to save the universe. Lodi and Orin were possessed by a council of 4th dimension dorks and we had to suffer watching the whole conversation. The whole DLC could have just been more Ikora imo.

1 ReplyI liked the EOF story, but content wise it wasn’t very fun that’s why I’ve only done it on my titan. Other than that many of the changes EOF brought kinda suck especially with PvP.
-
1 ReplyCan't be that bad since you got one of your chars to PL 400....

A bit late to the party, but I’m not arguing against the opinion. I’m not a Trials player, so there was literally nothing for me in Edge of Fate. The only reason I’m playing now is because Bungie is undoing the most egregious changes from EoF.

Agreed, unfortunately

Agree to all of this. Sums it up well.
