Out of twenty two Seasons, only two of them have had the Eververse armor be obtainable in game and not through Eververse. Bungie is not trying to be generous. They are being desperate.

The Daito armor from Prophecy was originally supposed to be in Eververse. But community morale after Season of the Worthy was so low, that Bungie put it in the dungeon's loot pool to win back community support. You know, exactly what they're doing right now.
