The damage control video that came out felt just like that. A damage control video. In the video I like how he addresses that the ritual Playlist armor is ment to look like -blam!-. Then as further damage control he says we are getting a Armour set that was originally going to cost money as our ritual Playlist Armour. The thing is I feel we should of always got 1 eververse quality armor set every season as our ritual Playlist instead of wasting time on garbage and eververse sets.

2 RepliesI wonder how much the pre order final shape is going to be next week. Imagine if it's more expensive again than last year, this forum will be on fire next week.

I mean, why are people so upset that 1 armor set with 3 color variations won't be made anymore when they literally took a whole armor set out of the season pass at level 1 several seasons ago? That was an instant set of ornaments (because if I remember right, they usually dropped at 49) you got instantly with the seasonal exotic if you bought the pass. Or, is the majority of the vocal playerbase too new to remember?

At this point it is just talk. Remember the “renewed focus on PvP”? I think it is best to assume they are blowing smoke until we actually see positive additions and changes.

2 RepliesIt’s all for show. It has always been for show. A PR plugging. They want your money. That’s what it’s all about. They’re putting out a DLC and they want to see preorders. That’s it. It’s laughable effort more than ever! What a move! I can’t stop laughing about it! They put out a State of the game (SOTG) a couple weeks ago. Now this?… Bwahahahahahaha!!! It’s time to milk the cows, and they’re getting ready for it. Bwahahahahahaha!!! You know what’s funnier?… The cows are lining-up to get milked! Bwahahahahahaha!!! There’s one born every minute. Don’t be one! One more thing, this is a company running a business. They are not your friends. They only want your money. That’s it. Once they milk it, they can do whatever they want. Again, WHATEVER THEY WANT! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Like I said, there is one born every minute. Don’t be one! Bwahahahahahaha!!! Welcome to hollowness!

Edited by Zacon75: 8/16/2023 3:39:04 PMMore complaints incoming from me. This action they're now taking annoys me as well. They are "throwing us a bone" meaning they could always could of afforded to give us more but no double dip that money. If anything they have to cut back on stuff they can give us now and that makes no sense they make tons of money tons. I think I would feel alot better and be quiet. If they would just give me one straight answer to one question. Where the hell is all this exuberant amount of money is going. They make profit from the expansions, season passes (which they bumped the price of), evervese, started double dipping with event passes, and they got dungeon passes.

1 ReplyI’d just like one good ritual armour set that leans into the theme of each of the three activities. Could look really good, if they could be bothered doing it.

5 RepliesI wonder what path D2 would have taken had no one bought any Eververse crap? I'm still amazed people buy stuff from there in the first place.

4 RepliesEdited by FloodZ: 8/16/2023 1:16:38 PMThe cynic in me believes Bungie just saw how successful Bilzzard's Diablo Apology Video went and thought they'd give that a try, too. "We'll put Joe on camera and have him look contrite! Make it look impromptu and give him a script that sounds unscripted. Hell, throw in one armor set from the reject pile for good measure. Do we have any half-finished, abandoned Crucible maps we could polish up and push out, too? What do you mean 'What about Gambit maps?' What the hell is a Gambit?"

2 RepliesOut of twenty two Seasons, only two of them have had the Eververse armor be obtainable in game and not through Eververse. Bungie is not trying to be generous. They are being desperate.

2 RepliesA damage control video felt like a damage control video? Ok.

1 ReplyEdited by THEREALLONEWOLFx: 8/16/2023 1:58:03 PMThey still never addressed why is it when you do get one of these armors to drop their 55 at best and focusing them is a waste of time as well. This needs to change for the better period!

Edited by rottingvermin: 8/16/2023 8:08:17 PMHe probably has a bet with the staff on the usage rate of the armor taken from the store.

3 RepliesHis armor set explanation was actually pretty spot on. The level of seasonal armor sets were getting has been way better the last couple years than the ritual type armor sets we got in the past. If we have to lose ritual armor sets to continue to get better seasonal sets, I’m all for that.

2 RepliesIt actually makes a lot of sense from a game-development standpoint. Why would you make the armor set that everyone gets just because, look cooler than what you get from a raid? Also, if you purchased a set from eververse and it was just as cool as the ritual set - that is the single easiest legendary armor to obtain… wouldn’t that make you frustrated? Joe said that ritual armor is supposed to be “basic guardian”. That’s because the “basic guardian” can obtain them easily… It’s like in CoD if they gave an awesome camo at 5 headshot kills or something. Wouldn’t that make the carbon-fiber one you get later on be less impressive or valued? Or in Monster Hunter, if Great Jagras armor was cooler than ones from an elder dragon?

1 Replyeververse sets not part of collabs are free from the start tbf , but for one time the community rage worked especially for pvp armor sets number was never a problem afterall we get at least 4 armor sets every season
