• For someone more well versed in the lore than me. Thorn is a weapon of sorrow capable of consuming light by tithing to the worm gods through the sword logic. My idea is that Thorn is a way of tithing to Ur, the ever-hunger through the sword logic. Thorn’s Perk: Mark of the Devourer, consumes an enemy’s light and/or life. This is further evidenced by its second perk: Soul Devourer. You collect the souls generated by aiding the sword logic in exchange for more power. This fits well with Ur as it is the embodiment of Hunger. Just a thought.

        • Xol I believe is still alive despite us “killing” him. If actually listened to Toland’s ramblings in the dreaming city ascendant plane, he asks if you truly believe you killed the worm god, xol. That leads at least me to believe he is still alive

Eir, Yul, and Ur are probably still living. Though they are in an uproar, and probably jockeying among themselves for power and survival. So we can't rule out they may have turned on each other, and one or more of them might be dead from fighting among themselves. Akka is dead. Was killed by Oryx. Which allow him the audience with the Deep, access to "Taken" power...and allowed the Hive access to enough power to survive their worm's appetite. Xol is...ahem....defeated. Status is unknown. Since the Hive gods got their power to create Throneworlds before the death of Akka, one has to assume that they got the power to do so from their worms. So one has to assume that the Worm gods have the power to create their own as well. Akka is permanently dead, probably because Oryx went to its throneworld and killed it there. Xol, OTOH, was defeat in our world. So Xol could potentially comeback. Like Oryx brought back Savathun and Xivu Arath after murdering them to get the power he needed to defeat Akka. So I don't think we've heard the last of Xol.

                • https://www.ishtar-collective.net/records/apocrypha?highlight=Apocrypha This narrative preview from just before Warmind explains a bit of basic Hive history relating to the Worm Gods. As the record explains, Auryx killed Akka and learned the power to Take, becoming Oryx. As we know, Nokris and Xol fled the Hive and attempted to conquer Mars before Rasputin stopped them. The player comes to kill Xol at the end of the Warmind expansion. After Warmind, this leaves Akka permanently dead, and Xol seemingly the same. He does inhabit the Whisper of the Worm, but doesn’t appear to be capable of regaining his physical form. The Broodhold strike has a Brood Queen boss who calls on the power of the Ever-Hunger, so it’s safe to say that Ur was alive as of Forsaken. As for Yul and Eir, they are the strongest remaining, and seem to be alive still, though we’ve heard nothing of them. If they were to fight and kill one another, it would undoubtedly be Yul who won and survived, even if Ur and Eir teamed up against him. I find it unlikely that they would turn on each other so early, however, as both Savathun and Xivu Arath still live. While these two primary sources of tribute survive, the Worm Gods are satiated, and their bargain holds as it has for millions of years.

                  • Akka Worm of Secrets (Dead and also was made into the Dreadnaught using just a piece of it's corpse), Xol The Will of Thousands (dead in the material sense but current status is unknown), Ur The Ever Hunger (Alive probably the next worm god we'll see), Yul The Honest Worm (alive second strongest Worm God and also wishes to consume Xol for his power), Eir The Keeper of Order (alive the Strongest worm god and unless Savathun can get to Oryx levels of strength then he will be the toughest thing we face besides Oryx and The Deep itself)

                    • I wonder if this game is based off of the Futurama episode where fry gets worms and becomes more powerful than Herculese and Gumbi combined. Y'know Oryx eats a toilet sandwich, has no friends and tried to take over the universe

                      • Akka, Eir, Yul, Xol, and Ur. Akka is confirmed dead (slain by Oryx) while Xol is at least corporeally dead. The other worms are presumed to still be active.
