Just watching some of my sniping footage in pvp (in between practice of eye level in patrol) and had to slo-mo some clips cause I'm surprised I even landed them. I realise there's aim assist, but one particular shot I looked way too far off to the left and got a headshot.
Actually I just reviewed the footage even slower and it appears as though, while being under fire, the slight flinching while in scope "allowed" me to get a headshot on him. IE. I must have pulled the trigger just as I was being flinched and got the headshot anyway. My gun has unflinching, but I remember it saying that it's just reduced flinching with the perk.

Cool to hear you've been landing those shots - even if it seems in miraculous ways at times. But that's exactly what it is about - don't hesitate to pull the trigger when your aim is not that far off... If you don't shoot at all, you're definitely not going to get a kill. Just make sure you can still retreat in case your opponent stays alive... It comes with practice and your intuitive general movement. You're right about the Unflinching perk, it doesn't ignore all the shaking and disruption by enemy fire.

Funnily enough, today I got a few kills because they were voidwalkers. That is to say, while they were in the air busy with their super animation, I managed to kill them. Not early enough to prevent the super, mind you, but it seemed like today's theme nonetheless xD
