I've been playing console shooters for a long time. I know that Destiny's autoaim lvl 9000 is a great feature for people who just bought their ps4 and have never even seen an fps game before. However for people with experience it should not be compulsory to follow the same limitations. Truth is: The headshot hitbox in Destiny is about the size of the Sun and it is therefore absolutely NOT required to have an auto aim that sticks your crosshairs on your enemy's model as long as you are more or less looking in his direction.
Thanks to this system even the worst of players can yearn fantastic results with a good gun (suros regime, hawkmoon) and if you want to stick to this principle to allow 5 or 50 year olds to play the game then that's fine.
However, you should not treat your entire audience equally and limit it by the same degree of patronization.
Killing enemies with shields or oddly placed precision spots can be very annoying with this epic autoaim the intensity of which has never been seen in console gaming before. Please make it an option, it decreases the fun factor in the game for good players or players who like a challenge. The ones who do not wish to have it and are content with the game playing pretty much by itself, can still have it turned off.

Just make it optional in pve!

Probably not gonna happen. It's almost a signature of bungie's. Halo had it. Mlg teams used it to their advantage by crossing through their teammates path during firefights. It's def a bit stronger in destiny, but as far as crucible is concerned, it's a viable strategy. Pve, though, it's super annoying.
