Let's look at the pilot example. pilots are a position in high demand, but pilots are in short dupply. it requires hundreds of hours of flight school and hundreds of hours flight time. Both cost thousands of dollars. DEI programs create what are essentially scholarships for people in various impoverished demographics, including poor people of all colors. This does not lower the standard, but increases the number of viable pilots.

I care about the outcome of that opportunity they were provided with. I want my pilot to be the top of their class you should want that too.
