Marathon is actively hurting destiny like many thought it was going to.
Bungie actively hurt D1 for D2 and is doing the same thing for marathon

1 commentaireI’m refusing to support Marathon (regardless of how it pans out) out of pure spite & contempt for what the new leadership has done to Bungie and their IP’s.

The last few Destiny players (most of them) have Stockholm Syndrome/trauma bond. Bungie lies to you Bungie gas lights you Bungie has never taken accountability, it was Microsoft's fault, Activision, now Sony, and when they had no other company to blame, it was us, and our expectations (no more over-delivery) Bungie gives you less and less for more in return (money and loyalty) And yet 11 years after things only get worse, some still say "I believe they can change, they love me enough to stop abusing me". Ignoring the fact, they are incapable of love and only want to munipulate and use

Bungie: Killing this franchise has been a Marathon, not a sprint. 😉

Today in Destiny: floating in Orbit with nothing to do....

7 commentairesBungie didnt need help messing up. Marathon is not hurting destiny. Marathon is a project they've wanted to do for some time. It's better they complete it now, get it out of their system and hopefully increase revenue so they'll have more access to sony's assets. This dooming over marathon is old. The update needed to be held back because it wasn't gonna bring enough meaningful changes or impact. No way would an update require a full dev team, nor was it going to be impactful to their bottom line. Marathon as a new IP can. You dont have to play Marathon, but this whinging and flailing about it ruining destiny is just dumb. Bungie has never needed help making bad decision when destiny is involved. If you really care about destiny and bungie then give Marathon a fair chance, maybe its not for you, cool. But this marathon hate is next level dumb.

Ideology meant more than actual game play experience. It’s been trash for awhile

Destiny has become that toxic girlfriend. She's already moved on (marathon) but is stringing you along until she knows for definite she's set up with new boyfriend. Once she has then old boyfriend will be kicked to the curb (destiny 2). But if new boyfriend doesn't work out she'll be looking for love from current boyfriend again.

Modifié par COMBATICUS : 2/20/2026 10:44:06 PMJust let go, brotha. And find peace. The only thing that was exciting this last few weeks was the taken set. After that, back to other games. Find something else to enjoy and find peace. We all should have started to leave when the main devs quit, and were let go.

Marathon is only hurting Destiny 2 because Bungo decided it was their golden goose they they threw Destiny to the curb. The things they are talking about adding really has nothing to do with Shadow and Order, they could have added the tier gear to raids etc like one at a time.

2 commentairesI've said it before and I'll no doubt say it ad nauseum in the future: they should have stopped D2 with TFS, gotten Marathon out of their system and returned with EoF and the portal as D3. They would retain more players, people might have given EoF a chance knowing they could go back to the D2 they loved and the (possible) death of Bungle would be slowed it halted. At least that's how I see it.

Your kind sounds sooo effing ridiculous. At least these threads are able to keep up with Trash-TV, so one does not need to zap around during commercials.

2 commentairesSpeaking of Today in Destiny, did you ever see that when the portal launched, the TID website was basically gutted? Such a shame. That website was awesome.
