I think a custom shader option would be fantastic. You could make basic colors available, still keep certain color/patterns for yourselves to make money, and give us the option to color our guardians (to a certain extent) to look as stupid as humanly possible. Neon pink arms and purple feet with a green head, you got it. Armor so black that the Darkness doesn’t even see you? Yours for the crafting. Want your hunter to be as white as the driven snow; go on with your pasty white self. It’d be good fun and add something basic to the game that I’m sure people would enjoy.

I have asked for an all black shader forever. Not Gray. Not with some goofy color. Just Black x 4. Dark Black. I like some of the new shaders this season, but I don't get why they can't just find a shader with a good black, multiply it x 4, and be done with it. Skele-Gaul has a good one (maybe 2?). Bloody Tooth has 1. Basalt Toxic has 2. There are some others, but they are very conditional as to weather they actually look black on the gear...

It’s a great idea and something most games had back in the day. But once they realized people would spend real money on things that were free before that’s not happening again. And I don’t blame them tbh. If I could make millions off idiots buying colored pixels I’d do it too. It does suck. But it’s the players buying this crap that caused it.

We are getting a exotic one tomorrow called "prismatic", does that count?

Won't happen ever, even 343 realized this and charge for colors too.

I've brought this up ages ago (as have many). Hell, I'd even opt for being able to 'rotate' the existing shaders we have now, to apply the existing colors to alternate parts of the armor.
