I would really enjoy being able to play doing strikes solo.
EDIT: There seems to be a massive misconception of why I made this thread. I will post a comment and update the OP.
Majority of the time I see strikes as a leisure activity. Something to hangout and do. While doing that id like to very much utilize weapons that are not meta, and have fun. Now, if I am to do this, more often than not those who pair with me are using meta weapons. My point is, I cannot kill things as fast, if at all, because my weapons are not meta, and basically the entire strike I would just be running behind these individuals which is nothing but boring.
Therefore, please allow me to search Strikes ON MY OWN, so I can play HOW I WANT TO PLAY with whatever weapons I chose to. Plus we all know that strikes are incredibly easy, so if I were to tackle them solo, with weapons that are not meta, it would be more fun.

Modifié par Kouz_MC : 10/25/2020 8:31:08 AMFor those on PlayStation who might not be aware of the trick: Go in the console’s settings, change date and time to whatever you want, load into a destination or strike and you’ll be alone on the map, no more blueberries. It works great for upgrading catalysts using the escalation protocole on mars. Simply load on Mars, start escalation protocole, kill first wave of enemies, reload the area without going to orbit, start escalation protocole, kill first wave of adds, and so on. There are many bounties or catalysts I would have never even tried to complete without using this trick. I feel bad for those who play on Microsoft’s consoles or pc.
I would really enjoy being able to play doing strikes solo.
Just remove the bounty system and anything is fine

I'd like that.

Optional matchmaking. That way you can do it solo or with just one of your friends without having to deal with a randy that wants to play differently than you. Speed runners could speed run all they want without dragging bounty chasers down a path of hate and resentment.
-
I would seriously pay 5 bucks a month in subscrition just to get that option. For me the pinnacle gear are mostly for levling and yeah im not max lvl.
-
Would be great honestly people like me who don't give an F about the vanguard can speed through whenever we have to and those who do like it can take their time to enjoy it

Or make strike bounties co-operative.

I've got mixed feelings on this. While I also like going into content solo from time to time, in a way it diminishes from the multiplayer experience that Bungie is trying to maintain. With that said, I like it to be an option. I think the biggest pain point for most players is the current bounty system, it is really annoying trying to complete a bounty that requires kills and be fighting with your teammates. With that said, I would propose 2 changes: 1. Rework bounties to be cooperative and have more generalized requirements. For example, instead of requiring 10 Rocket Launcher kills, require 30 Power Weapon kills across the entire fireteam (your kills count for 2). This would allow for more variability in weapon loadout and allow the team to contribute to shared bounties. This could also be done in the form of a Challenge system like we had in D1Y1 where all players have the same challenges by default. 2. Have a Firewall version of the Strike available for all strikes. This would be at the same difficulty level, but it would produce slightly less rewards. The reason for the slight reduction in rewards is to provide an incentive to play matchmaking. I don't think this would be a huge issue since most people wanting to solo strikes aren't really interested in the rewards anyway.

Awesome idea to have the option. The only negativeI can think of is the time and resources Bungie would need to devote to implementation. Other than that, no one should take issue with this.

Lol this is the biggest noob post I’ve seen in a while

Bungie: Too hard ask for something else
I would really enjoy being able to play doing strikes solo.
Lol! My youngest son made 3 profiles... we load up a spare profile (or 2) just so we can make our own "optional" matchmaking. So if we want to run just the 2 of us, we load up one of his alt profiles on another console, and kick the controller around. Bungie is not smart enough to use the exact same firewalled option they have in haunted forest as they do other activities. They've had literally years to implement.

Sounds like you should be playing single player games.
-
Easily done on console. You can set the date on PS4 back a year and you get NO one with you. This works in Strikes and world destinations for easy farming/bounty completion.

No Soul = No Soulmate - ancien
They gave a Firewall option for the Haunted Forest, they can do it for strikes... -
No way you can play this game your way, the only way is the Bungie's way.
-
6 years later and still can’t
-
This x 1000. Speed runners ruin it all for me, personally. Bounty hunting only goes along so well when you have people who rush through strikes.
-
They really just need to make bounties less competitive in strikes. 3 people competing for kills on a finite number of enemies that could easily be done Solo isn’t ideal.
-
Modifié par Lull9 : 10/24/2020 10:11:01 PMA better option would be to design the game more intelligently so that your teammates are not your enemies. All they would have to do is make it so fireteam kills and/or assists progressed bounties.
-
If you want to play alone, don't play multiplayer games.
-
We should have a firewall version like they did with haunted forest. I'm all for more options as a player I mean they advocate play like a lonewolf if you want but, it feels like their are still a few Playlists that need a solo que.

Its a multiplayer game bruh
