If they are not unique, and not better, then nobody will care. 😊
-
They just need to be different and usable

Modifié par US Reaper x : 5/15/2020 6:01:09 AMNope. You are wrong, we have experienced this time and time again. If new weapons are not unique and are not stronger than the old, than the majority of the player base won’t care. Do you know why? The answer is that most players in the community already have god-rolled weapons. They already have powerful guns. When a raid or some piece of content is released you will usually have to grind in order to get a decent/god roll. Players are not going to grind for a god roll for a weapon that is equally good as the ones they currently use (unless they truly are a new, unique an interesting gun). People are not going to waste their time farming for something that won’t make them stronger.
-
Then why did any season of dawn weapons see use
-
They didn’t. The only season of the dawn weapons people used were breachlight, which is a best in class kinetic weapon. Trophy hunter (back when snipers were good) because it was a best in class sniper. And python because that is a best in class shotty. Every other weapon is irrelevant. People briefly used breach-load grenade launchers because they were basically a new achetype. One example that supports my opinion is the Line in the Sand last season. That is a best in class linear fusion and can get better perks then any other linear fusions, but nobody cared because linear fusions suck. Waste of time to grind for. Not to mention season of dawn was and extremely easy season to farm for weapons.

I saw a lot of use of steelfeather repeater, perfect paradox, and patron of lost causes.
-
And who uses them now? Nobody. Very few people were probably grinding for those weapons. They probably just happen to come across them and wanted to try them out. People try new things out all the time, but that doesn’t mean they will all of a sudden begin farming for them, and that doesn’t mean they will become a permanent part of their inventories (hence dismantle).

Modifié par Seth, Knower of Things : 5/15/2020 5:58:56 AMEvery waking moment is a different and usable void smg. How many people do you see using it over recluse?
-
I saw one.
-
So there’s 1. Meanwhile 8.6% of the total player base is using recluse making it the most used pve weapon in the game by about 2.5% next being mountaintop at 6% If my maths right that’s somewhere between 60k and 70k players using recluse. Basically every player on pc and stadia combined is using recluse.

I’m just saying I saw one. ‘Tis was a moment to remember
