Time to let the game die guys, its pretty obvious that bungie have been, are the problem on a literal daily basis.
Just stop playing and buying and let it die.
Bungie only have themselves to blame.

Remember when Destiny 2 was supposed to die about seven times over the past two and one half years? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
-
And did it? From what I see it's still breathing fine.

I think you misinterpret my meaning. I was mocking the people who said Destiny would die when "X" game comes out. I love Destiny. I can't say I agree with all the decisions Bungie makes, but I can understand them.
-
Yep every defender blamed Activision and said it would get better if Bungie left them. Those people are pretty silent now....

Im pretty happy with the game. Sup now sucka? Lol

I'm not very vocal to begin with. I avoid these forums typically. I still defend Bungie on a number of points, even if I don't agree with some of their financial decisions (primarily how the seasons are set up), I can still understand and respect the huge overhead it costs their company to operate a live service (partially f2p) game. Then again, I knew the only difference that was going to change when Bungie left Activision was how the game was marketed. Finances are finances and money is necessary and that's the bottom line.

Yes that's true but, the issue is more about how little Bungie respect their players. Both with their time and effort. Their nerf policy is based solely on usage of a weapon. Isanagi was the only viable option after the last bout of nerfs. Now literally no weapon outside of the heavy slot is viable and even then grenade launchers are now unviable. The community jokes that they may as well replace all weapons with nerf guns but, if you look at raid encounters after the next patch. Some are now borderline impossible for a non expert team. I doubt this is intentional but, it shows how little Bungie even check what the effects of these nerfs on the game will be.

What are you talking about man? Y ok u really think nothing is going to come out and be more powerfull than the meta we have right now?

I must not be understanding something. I raid several raids per week and I don't feel the coming nerfs are going to effect raid encounters all that much, other than spending an extra five to ten minutes in a raid or a specific encounter. I will agree they're nerf policy does revolve around weapon popularity, but having seen this myself along with anyone else who raids regularly, the excessive demand for Izanagi is not only frustrating but downright excessive. Personally, I don't care to much for Izanagi and the only activity I regularly use it is in the Master difficulty nightfalls and even then it's not entirely necessary once you're light level matches 981+. But as for weapons outside the heavy slot, I'd have to disagree full stop. DARCI, Whisper, Wendigo, GL's with spike grenade, 1K and even Xenophage are optimal. Not top and you're not going to see those raid bosses melt, but two damage phases aren't going to ruin anyones day and certainly are far from impossible. I'm not sure why you believe only an expert team can raid, please elaborate. Then again, this may just be my own personal experience in raids.
-
Something that isn't really noticed these days is that raid encounters are on a timer with an auto wipe after the third phase. Each boss also has a close range death zone. Currently no one goes close because we use snipers and grenade launchers to do Dps. Applying the new sniper and grenade Dps figures it quickly becomes obvious that many teams will be forced into a three phase from a two and (provided no-one dies because of the extra phases) then ammo becomes a real issue. It also has become apparent, from many threads on reddit, that Bungie completely didn't take stomp mechanics and death zones into account when removing the ability to kill bosses and Majors with ranged weapons. It's literally turning into a dumpster fire of a nerf.

Oh, I was always under the impression everyone knew that after three damage phases with most raid encounters, it's a wipe. Maybe I gave the community to much credit there or I'm just ignorant of the situation. I just assumed everyone knew about the enrage mechanic that I'm pretty sure almost every raid encounter boss has. As for ammo though I must be in a weird place. Never have problem with ammo in raids. Then again, I ground my face off to find the right armors I want and am always capable of having the proper ammo finding mods before I enter a raid or the lfg for raid. Once again, from personal experience, but I've been running double specials in the raids I do now for the past few months. Almost never bother using primary anymore. I know that sounds like a high boast that doesn't seem true. But I can say with absolute confidence my -blam!- butt has been running around the first three encounters of GoS with triple shotguns (tractor as heavy, no season of dawn mods) and I'll keep the Sol Inherent Mind from flying backward down his lane and usually one phase with randoms. I know it sounds phony, but I've no reason to lie about that. Sorry, ramble mode turned on. But with these coming nerfs, maybe I can get away with maining Tractor Cannon even more. :P I'm trying to be light hearted about this, as I don't feel these nerfs are going to be nearly as impactful as the numbers appear to be and it's difficult to discuss this with what seems to be a lot of people who visit these forums who just seem angry all the time. Thank you for your civility.
Yep every defender blamed Activision and said it would get better if Bungie left them. Those people are pretty silent now....
Well it did do one thing beneficial, it exposed the real Bungie. Now we know how Bungie really is. Now we can make a precise decision, drop Bungie.
