Okay so hear me out, we all enjoy destiny and the world bungie has given us to run around in, to varying extents. Sure some of you may say:
Not enough content
Too much reused content
Balancing is trash
Glitches are rampant
Eververse is heavily focused on
SBMM is flawed
Weapon vendors need a revamp
The ___ needs a nerf/buff
Drop rates for AnArChY ArE GaRb
Etc.
That's some "feedback" I've read over the last month scrolling through the forums, and honestly I agree with some of these points.
However, the sole fact that Activision isn't in the picture anymore should lead way to the fact that they're entirely on their own and in a lot of ways lacking on funding.
We don't got enough "content" due to that fact. Activision being the publisher, decided what content was viable and what would make them the most amount of money for the smallest amount of time spent in both aspects being the consumer and the developer
Shadowkeep is bungies first dlc completely made on their own merits. They said they wanted it to be a nostalgia piece (or something like that) and you know what, it was, we all heavily enjoyed going back to the moon for the first time in a good couple years. Regardless of what you say, it's the beginning of new things to come.
In regards to people saying the focus on eververse is too much, how else do you think bungie gets the funding to create missions for exotic quest? If the community gives back, bungie will too.
Matchmaking used to be all over the place, now it's in a slightly better state than what it used to be, sure I don't agree with the recluse being thousands of times easier to obtain; now that comp leveling has changed.
Sure heavy ammo spawns way to frequently, yes I don't like that comp is only survival, But I believe they're just trying to ease the new light players into the pvp scene, whereas in later seasons, it'll most likely be taken over by "trials" or some perfected version of comp.
In time the weapon vendors will get a revamp and I'm sure of it, shadowkeep only dropped a month ago and yes they could've done some changes to old vendors, but we got a bunch of weapons from shadowkeep, don't forget the dungeon drops this week.
All guns got a revamp, I, for one, am glad that the meta has widened to other guns and not just hand cannons. Along with supers getting nerfed and amongst other things.
A lot of us, myself included have complained about things here and there over the years, and I kinda realised like, we all throw a lot of negatives at bungie, the thing is, they're an indi developer now, just like CDPR. And our job as a community isn't just to play the game, but to actually help em out in some regard. The game can grow in time, and a lot of the changes have yet to come. Give em a second.
Obviously I don't expect everyone to agree, I'm just speakin my thoughts and I don't care as to what your opinion may be, good or bad, these are just my thoughts hummie. If you read all of this, thank you, I hope you have a good day
They've basically said their job is too hard, when I saw that I just thought of ER nurses doing longer hours for less pay and peoples lives are on the line, I also know there are many players out there doing long hours in difficult professions so to see someone complaining that their job is too hard because they can not manage peoples expectations is just well....

Ah, yes. Faulty comparisons.
Ah, yes. Faulty comparisons.
Not really, if you employed someone who after years of work suddenly told you the job was too hard, after specifically hiring them to do it, Would you A: Replace them with someone more capable Or B: Change how your business operates and reduce your output If you chose B you shouldn't be in business So no its valid.

It’s really not.
It’s really not.
Explain why.

They’re two wildly different things, each with their own sets of difficulties. They’re not comparable.
They’re two wildly different things, each with their own sets of difficulties. They’re not comparable.
So someone doing a job for years then stating that it's too hard to continue is normal? As you don't seem to understand that saying something is to hard after doing it for an extended period if time doesnt fly ANYWHERE. Youd be replaced with someone who could. But according to people like you this is endemic across all professions. So to make this clear, what happens when say your mobile provider stats it's too difficult to provide voice services? Would you chose another provider or simple accept it? It's the same situation, if you can't understand that, that's of major concern.

Modifié par Unbreakable Patches : 10/29/2019 2:00:58 PMYa’ll are waaaaay to caught up on someone saying that game development is difficult.
Ya’ll are waaaaay to caught up on someone saying that game development is difficult.
It's not difficult, unless you're unorganised and work to unrealistic deadlines, the crunch, with really bad leadership. I feel sorry for the actual employees.

Haha, okay dude.
Haha, okay dude.
With responses like yours Bungie knows they can make a lot if money with less effort. You are a herald of mediocrity, your clarion call is being heeded across the globe. Enjoy the result.

Modifié par NOOTMANE : 10/27/2019 7:50:45 PMYou can't compare nurses to game designers, a nurse isn't capable of doing what a game designer can and vice versa
-
It's not a direct comparison though, more an analogy.

If it’s an analogy, it’s hot garbage.
