Okay so hear me out, we all enjoy destiny and the world bungie has given us to run around in, to varying extents. Sure some of you may say:
Not enough content
Too much reused content
Balancing is trash
Glitches are rampant
Eververse is heavily focused on
SBMM is flawed
Weapon vendors need a revamp
The ___ needs a nerf/buff
Drop rates for AnArChY ArE GaRb
Etc.
That's some "feedback" I've read over the last month scrolling through the forums, and honestly I agree with some of these points.
However, the sole fact that Activision isn't in the picture anymore should lead way to the fact that they're entirely on their own and in a lot of ways lacking on funding.
We don't got enough "content" due to that fact. Activision being the publisher, decided what content was viable and what would make them the most amount of money for the smallest amount of time spent in both aspects being the consumer and the developer
Shadowkeep is bungies first dlc completely made on their own merits. They said they wanted it to be a nostalgia piece (or something like that) and you know what, it was, we all heavily enjoyed going back to the moon for the first time in a good couple years. Regardless of what you say, it's the beginning of new things to come.
In regards to people saying the focus on eververse is too much, how else do you think bungie gets the funding to create missions for exotic quest? If the community gives back, bungie will too.
Matchmaking used to be all over the place, now it's in a slightly better state than what it used to be, sure I don't agree with the recluse being thousands of times easier to obtain; now that comp leveling has changed.
Sure heavy ammo spawns way to frequently, yes I don't like that comp is only survival, But I believe they're just trying to ease the new light players into the pvp scene, whereas in later seasons, it'll most likely be taken over by "trials" or some perfected version of comp.
In time the weapon vendors will get a revamp and I'm sure of it, shadowkeep only dropped a month ago and yes they could've done some changes to old vendors, but we got a bunch of weapons from shadowkeep, don't forget the dungeon drops this week.
All guns got a revamp, I, for one, am glad that the meta has widened to other guns and not just hand cannons. Along with supers getting nerfed and amongst other things.
A lot of us, myself included have complained about things here and there over the years, and I kinda realised like, we all throw a lot of negatives at bungie, the thing is, they're an indi developer now, just like CDPR. And our job as a community isn't just to play the game, but to actually help em out in some regard. The game can grow in time, and a lot of the changes have yet to come. Give em a second.
Obviously I don't expect everyone to agree, I'm just speakin my thoughts and I don't care as to what your opinion may be, good or bad, these are just my thoughts hummie. If you read all of this, thank you, I hope you have a good day

15 commentairesI don't think we're "too hard" I just think that 99% of this community thinks that making games is as simple as "write words, publish" so everyone has ridiculously unrealistic expectations because they're convinced that they know a ton about game development when they actually don't
-
1 commentaireunpopular indeed maybe 0,5% still think this game goes into a right direction btw there is no new content worth deemed of EXPANSION title
-
They are charging $15 for a reskinned rare armor set from year 1 and consistently manage to release buggy updates. I mean, they fixed the keymold for izanagi’s without actually testing if you could do anything once you got the keymold, which almost confirms that bungie has no actual QA. They definitely deserve most if not all of the criticism and hate they get.
-
1 commentaireDid you compare Bungie to CDPR? Even if that were a relevant comparison, it would completely destroy your argument.
-
I agree....ish

Some of these comments have also shown me that some people don’t understand what it means to be an indie developer. But that’s just my 2 cents on the matter.

47 commentairesComing from ESO I agree lol. This game functions flawlessly compared, I’ve been playing for three weeks and already have some of the best gear in the game. You can get started very easily. Comparatively the grind in ESO is BRUTAL. Also the devs here communicate regularly which is really nice. People need to get over the fact that games are never going to be exactly what they want in their own private world. Just enjoy what’s there or take a break/go to a different game. We all rant about OP stuff but it gets too serious. I think I’ll be sticking around Destiny 2 for a while, but I worry because I see some of the same trends here that I watched happen in ESO over the past four years. 1) people are overly nerf happy. people make endless nerf threads about whatever kills them and don’t even provide any real substance. these threads are mostly biased and exaggerated. This will eventually lead to gutted classes and 2) people really ragging on the devs constantly for every little -blam!-ing thing and being really shit about it. Eventually the devs will get tired of it and stop the communication.

2 commentairesI think a lot of people suffer from Destiny burn out. I took 2 years off from playing the game because I was so pissed off at the missed opportunity of making Destiny 2 the best ever. Now that I'm back, I have to say I've been enjoying myself. When it begins to piss me off again, I'll know when its time to take another break. For sure, Bungie seems to have the most passionate fans around.

1 commentaireThe “problem” with Destiny is that the premise, open worlds, and design really get your imagination working. This would ordinarily be considered a great thing, however people can imagine things that are beyond the scope of programming so leave disappointed when the game doesn’t pan out how they imagine it to. Bit of a catch 22 for Bungie, but I still enjoy the game despite the fact none of my ideas have found a way into the game... yet...

They aren’t an indie developer. They are a massive studio, with massive success, and massive resources. How will they get money for content without MTX? They sell the game. Shadow Keep wasn’t free.

1 commentaireYou have to take all of these posts with a grain of salt. Most of these posts come from agitated people who have a small issue during a session and decide to take their complaints straight to the front desk. Unfortunately, this means REAL and actually constructive Criticism ends up in the back seat where people will get 300+ upvotes about an issue that won’t get fixed because it’s unfair to the people on the other end.

1 commentaireStill waiting for the fix for the NF ordeal quest so I can tick that requiment for the seal. But poor bungie yeah.
dont make me laugh this company the most greedy that I ever seen in my life, they dont care about you, they care about your money or how much advertisment you can do. Now punish me daddy, you are the only one who can ravage me good.
3 commentairesBungie said’ we are going to give the players what they want’. Bull S h i t!! The moon? Nerf? Reskinned enemies/armor? More crap moved over to Eververse? I heard the campaign went by quick. Bungie can’t create so they nerf and steal. They have failed since the beginning of D2 and it this group that ruined Destiny

1 commentaireGet off the forums kid 😂. We aren’t being hard ENOUGH on bungie

3 commentairesModifié par WulfPak666 : 10/28/2019 12:53:42 PMIf you ask me, in some areas, we haven't complained enough. I find that when people -blam!- and moan it is because they genuinely love the thing they play and hate to see it fall. I don't remember who said it but someone said that they'd rather have a fan base that complains and plays the game constantly than a fan base that hardly speaks at all and barely plays after a few weeks. The destiny community may talk a lot of shit, but we're still playing the game so obviously Bungie is doing something right. Maybe we have Stockholm Syndrome or it's a passionate Love/Hate relationship.

6 commentaires‘Too hard’? So stealing thousands of dollars from loyal customers for much less value and through many underhanded means is somehow defendable? Do you even realise that as we speak they are still concocting even more scams and re-skins/recycled content to be sold. Those greedy, lazy, incompetent hacks are beyond redemption. You have no idea how low they think of you.

Modifié par Quaddity : 10/28/2019 12:09:42 AMI love the people defending Bungie saying they have a lack of funds. Their public info says otherwise as they are paying their executives many millions a year and employ like 800 people. They are not lacking in funds.
-
One major clarification. You say they "gave" it to us.... No. Just No. Nothing was "given". Destiny franchise will have cost most remaining players almost £400 now. There is no "given"
-
8 commentairesAbsolutely not We got sold -Old pvp maps -Old d1 and d2 bosses galore -Old moon with the red keep and 4 sectors being the only new things -Old d1 exotic -Reskinned raid armor -No new banner weapons -Reskinned prophecy weapons -Vendors still didnt get updates -Factions still useless -Tess updated as per usual, this time with heavier emphasis on the items once more. This dlc was supposed to rival roi? Dont make me laigh. Shadowkeep was literally "let's sell them old stuff" the community isnt half as harsh on them as they should be.

This is .. the dumbest thing I've seen this year.
muted
-
Some things can be forgiven but other times they make flat out really stupid decisions. Prestige raids and factions rallies gone for no reason when the game would be infinitely better with them. ??? What? No reason to do raids anyway because the gear from them is as good or worse than what you can get in other parts of the game. The fifth column of artifact mods in comp. They have a weekly update but don’t actually use it to update weekly. Still nothing on Izanagi’s burden by the way. Cheaters still running rampant by the way. But heres some a guy who ironically made his titan as ugly as possible and won the fashion emblem. Just some examples. .
-
Yup it is an unpopular opinion. Bungie deserves every bit of hate they get. This game is flawed on so many levels. It's embarrassing. So many bugs and glitches and inconsistencies. On pc there are so many hackers and cheaters. Then Bungie has the nerve to actually make it seem like activision was the problem the whole time. Well shadow keep just confirms it's always been Bungie. Bungie is just a small nudge away from being the next Bethesda or the next activision themselves. You opinion is very unpopular and it's also wrong. The meta is still the same, still hand cannon and shotgun heavy. Only now we got a lot more recluse users with an occasional pulse rifle. I still hardly ever see anyone using scouts or autos. Armor 2.0 is pretty dumb. Yes Bungie did a few things right like how planetary materials stack up to 9999 now and the increase in glimmer. If they keep making minor changes like that maybe 3 years from now the game will be awesome.
-
Bungie is a AAA gaming company with possibly the most abundant resources at their disposal. Yes, designing a game is hard, but other companies with a fraction of what they have shouldn't be doing doing it this flawlessly 😂😂😂
