I’m just not sure if Hornet can compare to the Night. I mean, the daughter of a higher being compared to the perfect vessel of two, ascended to a higher being (Lord of Shades) its own?

Hornet has the potential to be a much more interesting character, though.
Plus, I think Dream No More is the canon ending, as opposed to Embrace the Void. It makes more sense from a storytelling standpoint.
IGN got footage of the lace fight, looks like it's not blocked anymore. Her parry attack is scary, it involves her following up with a series of very quick strikes that stunlocks you for a moment, dealing damage at both the start and end of the attack equaling a total of 2 damage.

Again, I’m gonna try and stay blind—no boss details please!
-
Sorry, I keep on feeling like I should report what I find.

Small stuff is fine, like how resources work, but I don’t want to know about bosses, levels, or story.
-
I think this spending resources based on how much you use tools can help make sure those said resources won't become worthless by the late game like what happened with geo.
-
Yeah, seems like a neat system.

Initially I thought you lost some shell shards permanently on death but then I noticed that people lost shards when they rested at a bench if they used the throwing knife at all. Which led me to that conclusion.

I mean they could always go with Embrace the Void and have the Void take over Hallownest. It'd give an antagonist, at least. It shows the Hollow Knight awakening at the end of Embrace the Void but considering the Radiance is dead he'll either be an empty shell or will soon die.
-
The Lord of Shades taking of Hallownest makes no sense, though. The Void strives for peace, sitting tranquilly at the world’s bottom. It only acted up because of the intervention of Radiance and the Pale King. Now that they’re both gone, it should return to its quiet dormant state. Besides, no matter which ending is canon, Hornet gets carried off to Pharloom. Silksong’s not in Hallownest.

I remember hearing concerns that team cherry would make hornet mute to an extent for convenience.
-
It wouldn’t make sense for that tbh. The knight is physically incapable of speaking, but obviously Hornet has talked before.
-
I heard that they'll show more gameplay during the treehouse at some point. I also heard that the release date might be announced sometime Thursday.

Again it's not 100% official that the release date will be announced.
