This is after buying 8 cores.
So total purchase is
1st core = 10 shards
2nd core = 20 shards
3rd core = 40 shards
4th core = 80 shards
5th core = 160 shards
6th core = 320 shards
7th core = 640 shards
8th core = 1280 shards
Total = 2,550 shards for 8 cores if you want to buy them from spider in 1 day.
-
9th core = 2560 shards.
I think this is just silly. Slowing down progress.

And I thought I had a lot of legendary shards 😂

Yeah. At this rate. It will only take me 2 and a half months to masterwork 3 weapons. Great job bungie. What a terrific idea. U guys must all be jerkin each other off right now. Let me guess. Deej is in the middle.
-
Dismantling lengendaries and using those consumables gets you masterwork cores how are people still out of them?
-
Don't worry, in 6 months this will change unless Bungie gets a wild hair lol.
-
100 % agreed. It is a mechanic to prevent progress. It is beyond stupid infusion should never cost masterwork cores. Masterwork cores should be used for masterworking weapons and armor only.
-
this post explains the masterwork cores issue perfectly. the price shouldn't double
-
Masterwork cores have ZERO business being part of infusing weapons.
-
I think you guys are making a big to-do about nothing. Spending materials to masterwork something should be a valuable choice you make. Spending materials to infuse something should be a valuable choice you make. Requiring a rare material to do these things is the best way to make your decision actually be worth something, rather than willy nilly masterworking every weapon and armor you have on day one and endlessly infusing them as you get 1 more light level. At that rate, there might as well not even BE masterworked weapons/armor. Just give all weapons and armor higher base stats at the start and scrap masterworking altogether. Everybody here is just butthurt because they aren't being handed everything for free.
-
It's only because that 9th core is made of Unobtainium (very creative by the way, Mr. Cameron) forged in the bowels of a golden Unicorn most likely.
-
More silly is you paying for this expansion given your level of documented dissatisfaction with this franchise, and the large number of hours playing this pathetic game you dislike so much I am surprised to see you bought the expansion you so strongly recommended nobody pay for. Actually, not really surprised, I knew you would still be here. Carry on
-
Wow I’m more surprised to see you still on the forum lmao
-
You know it resets every day right? I just buy the first 3 everyday. I dont think you should be trying to use spider as your primary source of cores. Shit is way too expensive for that.
-
Modifié par EMW ZEEK : 9/20/2018 1:17:56 PMI think it would be fine if it capped at 50ish after 4ish cores and scales by 10 shards everytime after that.
-
Well if you had 3 character ya big dummy! You could get more!
-
...just do 4 a day on each character. Simple as that
-
I understand your pain and I feel it too, but i feel one of things that so broke this game in Y1 was the worthless economy - nothing had any value everybody had more than they needed of almost everything and that just makes everything worthless. I know this way feels forced and artificial (it is of course as it is an in-game economy) but it must be hard trying to balance accessibility to casual players whilst still giving hardcore players something to chase. And at the end of the day, IMHO, I'm not sure this is that much of a game breaker. Times have changed and it's not all about immediately infusing every new gun we get 5 seconds after it drops. Now we need to put some thought into it and decide whether the perks are really worth it - maybe do a little field test first before deciding - I think this is better for the long term health of the game.
-
I buy about 3 or 4 a day
-
if the great nike thinks its bad, then you know its really bad.
-
It's beyond silly, it's just stupid.
-
I don't have variks but with a cold, no DLC just get engrams from rahool. With the no chain repeats rule they added during warmind, in one sitting it eventually can only give you masterworks. Once you've gotten one of everything wait a while cause then the no repeater goes away cause you got everything he had to offer!
-
Yes this is bs . And completely needs a rework.
-
I agree with most; masterwork cores should only be used for levelling up tiers on weapons and armor, not to infuse. If masterwork cores were obtainable in a reasonable way then that's fine but at present they aren't.
-
I'm not sitting on a pile of MC, I got an average of 5 at any given time. Yes certain weapons I've brought along the way, cause it helps but with armor I'm happy for now being an ugly mutt till I get close to max say 580-590 to really dial it in. I buy three max per day from Spider. I get the feeling that the higher we get in light the more tier 4 an higher gear drops along with Finest matterweave which gives one with yellow bar kill then I'll be fine. Though a good fix would be for the Matterweave to drop 20 instead of one or drop more often to compensate.
-
This is good. Keeps the no lifers in check. I would rather laugh at those bitching about not enough resources than not enough content because it was done in a day. Grind on guardian 💪🏻
-
I have these little cubes in my consumables that Grant a masterwork when I kill yellow bars only one but still.
-
Some tips for those thinking they need to infuse their exotics that are sitting at 380. 1. Delete the 380 versions. 2. Go to collections tab. 3. Pull out a 500+ version for some glimmer and 7 shards 4. Cry about how many times you've wasted masterwork cores upgrading the old versions you had...
