Hey, there.
Tomorrow, we had planned to conduct the final stream prior to the launch of “Curse of Osiris” to show off some of the weapons and armor the expansion includes. Instead, we are investing all our efforts into delivering some higher priority information about Destiny 2. You’ll hear from studio leadership about their assessment of Destiny all up, they’ll talk about our goals for the game going forward, and you’ll also learn about how we’re reacting to your feedback with some game updates that will arrive in the next few weeks.
That will appear on the Bungie Blog on Wednesday.
Thank you,
DeeJ

Good job deej, and bungie. The lemmings are under control again because you acknowledged that the game could possibly have some flaws. That's how poor it has gone so far. The community set the bar as just simply acknowledging.

Modifié par Reznyk : 11/28/2017 9:14:52 PMYou guys and gals can Rise (of Iron) up from this. Situations like this can be Vexing, but all is not lost. There are many Guardians who still love this franchise and still happily play D2...it has a lot of Unspoken Promise. We will support you if you can just be straight with us. This is my Last Word on this topic. Also, bring back Blink for hunters.

As somebody who has thrown 200+ hours into Destiny 2 so far I am overwhelmingly happy to see this post from DeeJ. Me and the several people I play with have all noticed the lack of content in the games current state (more so at end game) and it saddens us that this is the case. However as excited as I am for the Curse of Osiris expansion to drop so I can have new gear and something more to do in the game I am much more excited for this blog post tomorrow. It will hopefully offer some much needed clarification on what Bungie are going to do to maintain Destiny 2's player base. The players need assurance that there will be MUCH more added to Destiny 2 and that the content to come is worth hanging around for. A step in the right direction from Bungie here.

Now when you say next "weeks" to come, does that mean the season 2 update or a later date?
-
I swear to god if I hear bungie say, "we don't want to make the game too grindy cause they're a lot of other good games out there for you to try out" imma lose my shit

You have my attention

Let's hope this isn't more crap we don't care about. Word of advice for the future, from someone who has worked for multi-million dollar companies as a product manager: Next time you make a Destiny game, DLC, plan changes, etc... have actual people who play the game, who are the farthest removed from your company, any of its sponsors, affiliates, etc. (meaning people like us!) give feedback on those decisions and/or test it BEFOREHAND. And actually listen to that feedback, and not kibosh it just because you don't like it or agree with it. What you think DOES NOT MATTER. You are biased! WE are the ones playing the game day in and day out. WE are the ones paying for the games, the DLC's, the micro transactions. Listen to us. Quit making decisions based on what YOU think or what YOU like. Hell if you're too lazy, do polls on here and reddit and let that be the deciding factor on certain changes you're considering. Anything is better than however your awful decision making process is now. You are your own worst judges. Why do you think most non game companies do those feedback groups before releasing a product? To see what people want, and what they like and what they don't like. It's common sense! Nuff said.

I do really hope for this to be a step in the right direction, a reason to come back and play frequently solo and with my massive friend list i amassed in destiny 1, and i honestly wish for this commentary to be a weekly/bi-weekly or even monthly occurrence not a once in a blue moon thing, on bungie.net (so here's some feedback). Make or break! Tomorrow is a big day! F5 on the ready!

Looking forward to it and what's in store. Glad to see you in the forums.

Nice to see that we know what stands for us. As a person who has purchased multiple pieces of Destiny memorabilia (Pins and what have you), it’s nice to see my efforts are in vain. Crack on bungie 👍🏻.

Down vote like the Battlefront II players.

Modifié par Kommissar K : 11/28/2017 9:34:56 PMSo... we're getting the patch notes early? Cause that really would go a long way for alot of these people.

Modifié par Starbuck13 : 11/28/2017 9:37:41 PMThanks for listening to feedback Deej. It's unlikely you've seen it yet, but I wrote up a post detailing some of my frustrations with the game currently. Hopefully your updates will address all of my concerns, but just in case you wanted to look it over, here you go: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/239326115?sort=0&page=0 Oh! Also, will the planned fashion show debut in some other form now that there isn't going to be a stream? As you can probably tell, I like my Guardian fashion. ;)

Wow, this is a surprise. Makes me feel a LITTLE better.
-
You should put this on #Destiny 2 for more attention

Custom/private games fellas... make gun specific buffs and nerfs a quicker and more exact process. If you know your going to do a change, but it's not ready to implement...let us know! Hiding it hurts you. And for the PvE guys, give them hard to acquire gear and cosmetics that let them stand out. Make it very hard, some sort of prestige plus kind of thing with difficult modifiers. Basically... give us something to chase and a space for shenanigans and sweats. Then balance based on data and feedback.

Huh you mean they finally noticed people aren’t happy ?

Modifié par celretainer : 11/28/2017 9:25:41 PMEverything better be addressed tomorrow, not just the XP gain issues, the shitty endgame and terrible crucible should be the priorities. I’ve been a destiny player since day one of D1 and I played that game on a daily basis for months, despite the problems with it, I haven’t played D2 for weeks. I don’t see how the game could have been screwed up so badly, just build from what D1 was during the age of triumph. Instead you removed all that made the game good. You left the complexity in D1 to cater to casual players, doing that was like giving the middle finger to the hardcore players like myself that kept your game alive during its content droughts. Your plan backfired and I’m sad to say that I’m glad you’re in the position that you’re in. Player counts are hemorrhaging and the community is furious, hopefully you can finally learn from this and start to make your game what it was meant to be.

It was that green cap, wasn't it?

I've always loved destiny and the community, I just think during the evolution of destiny there was alot of miscommunication. I'm very happy as a constant player/consumer to see that you guys are going the extra mile to get everyone on the same page. I'm truly sorry that you guys at bungie have to constantly get all this hate, especially you deej. I look forward to playing the new content y'all at bungie have in store for the community, I look forward to the future of this game. Thank you bungie.

This is it. There only two paths to take and one is shit. Choose correctly man.
Deej if you want this to go well, speak confidently. Go off the script if you have to :).
When will the new stream time be announced
-
Around 10 am PST will the blog be posted?
-
Any specific timeframe for this?
-
K. So no stream? Just blog form?may actually work out better since Luke tends to say things on the spot that gets him in trouble

Can you please consider adding things to separate the high skill and hardcore from the low skill casuals? Please. I want my skill to be rewarded and I want people to look at my character and notice that.
