Hey, there.
Tomorrow, we had planned to conduct the final stream prior to the launch of “Curse of Osiris” to show off some of the weapons and armor the expansion includes. Instead, we are investing all our efforts into delivering some higher priority information about Destiny 2. You’ll hear from studio leadership about their assessment of Destiny all up, they’ll talk about our goals for the game going forward, and you’ll also learn about how we’re reacting to your feedback with some game updates that will arrive in the next few weeks.
That will appear on the Bungie Blog on Wednesday.
Thank you,
DeeJ

OOOOH scary. I hope you don't just fold and make this D1, 2.0. I actually like a lot of the changes.
-
Thank you everyone at bungie. We support you. We can't wait to play this awesome game you've made and can't wait to hear from u

Will Smoggy Pluto be answering questions?

An appearance by Deej? This was unexpected. Any plans to do away with dual primaries or separate PvP and PvE? Those would likely bring me back...

I'm skeptical, as I feel I should be. With that said, and this is personal opinion from here out: If a company like Ubi can take a step back, change things up, and produce something amazing like origins, possibly bungie can too. This won't be easy, as the game is already out, but what D1 grew into was a major turn around. With that said, should the same path have to be followed, it has to be better and faster growth. Until that happens, whats the point of buying into it further now, when we can wait for a cheaper, more complete game next september? The Deja vu of this is far too real. We won't be fooled with same formula a second time, so you have to change it.

heres to hoping you guys stop hand holding make raids useful again. by the end of Destiny 1 the game was solid i had so many hours into that game. down side is you changed too much and majority of the changes were not needed. i mean you dont have to earn your rank anymore its just given to you. you did raid and such to reach max level now you just do raid to well get cosmetic stuff. used to be able to play any crucible mode now get forced to play whatever's in the roll

This is a step in the right direction. I've read bounds of (different) community comments and I've contributed my own, and the consensus is... this game is not what we expected, and the amount of Bungie feedback concerning our extremely blunt and vocal feedback has been negligent. We hear you when you tell us about all of the new shiny toys, but it's not enough, and I'm pretty sure that has been felt within Bungie by the ever daily decreasing player counts. Here's where I stand, and where I hear many, many others stand as well... You ARE NOT getting my money on December 5th. I'm pretty sure that there is nothing that this DLC is going to do to improve the state of the game (in my opinion) in a week. However, I'm lurking, and I'm reading these forums and reddit every day, with morsels of hope of overwhelming improvement. Like I read in another comment, it's going to be tricky to get our feedback implemented on the back end development side, and as a result, I feel that Bungie's financials are going to take a large hit until things improve. I know that sucks and I don't wish that on any company, but to be blunt, it's exactly what is needed to enact the changes we desire. Keep your chin up Deej.

I do not envy in the slightest, the position you're in sir. The phrase "don't shoot the messenger" often comes to mind. That said, take care in choosing your next steps, it's not likely you'll get many more chances. And please don't take us for fools, we'll ferret out the truth eventually. Best of luck.
-
I'll take the smallest bit of acknowledgement over complete silence. Thank you.
-
Thank you deej sounds like bungie may be listening to its player base
-
This is exactly what we have all been waiting for hopefully you guys give us a clear picture of what lies ahead to get this game back on track i love destiny and i want it to be the game that we all know it can be

First time I felt like something we’ve been saying is making an impact

Thanks bucko
-
Thank you. Seriously I needed this.

I really think this was the best move. Please address ALL our concerns about the game. If Destiny 2 is supposed to be a casual game just say so... that way we can move on to other games. If not and if you're trying to meet our expectations give us a decent timeline, (not a 6 months window). Fingers crossed for good news! :D

Modifié par SlaterKaz : 11/28/2017 9:52:03 PMYou knew it would be received badly, so you tell us what we want to hear, for it not to come to fruition. Not fooling us.
-
Sounds like you need more time to modify the rewards on your videos so we don't see any tokens or blues pop up. Seems shady to me. >_> hmmm

The community is looking for answers. I suppose the chat will be "sub only" as per the past stream? Let the fanboys offer up all the fluff while you avoid the real issues? Do yourself a favor and bring your "A" game tomorrow.
-
I'd still like to see the new weapons & armor sets as well though.
-
I hope they announce a new shader system, and that when you hit max level the legendary items will all drop at max level (this would keep us grinding after we hit max level to max out all of our gear and not just play the first day or two of the week to get our milestones), and new armor from all of the vendors (devrim, sloane, fail safe, etc ) not just from the eververse, and adding ships and sparrows to our collections in the vault, and better ways to organize the vault (the app has better ways to organize the vault so why can't the game itself?), and they are bringing back 6v6 crucible and larger crucible maps. That would be a good start. And if they really wanted to blow us away they could announce that they are going to start using dedicated servers for all PvP activities so we aren't so connection dependent.

Hey, DeeJ.

Tomorrow is gonna be make or break day. If you push updates the people want, or it looks like you've listened to some of the complaints on this forum, people will respond with jubilation. Of course others will respond with skepticism. If tomorrow ends up being some glad-handing and out of touch with what the community wants...there will be people lined up with pitchforks. Was actually looking forward to tomorrow's stream to be honest, so it not happening is a little disappointing.

Notice me Deej.

It sometimes feels like Bungie tried so hard to make Destiny different from Halo that they forgot what made Halo such an amazing FPS. For instance, Halo 3 was extremely popular for years after its release because of its well-designed multiplayer. Halo 3 had over 12 ranked and unranked matchmaking playlists, including big team battle, team slayer, team doubles, team objective, FFA, etc.; Destiny 2 multiplayer has no skill-based ranking system and only 2-3 matchmaking playlists with very little gametype variety. Halo 3 let you forge customized maps and create custom game types; I don't think Destiny 2 even let's you play private matches. It sometimes feels like matchmaking is treated like a secondary feature on D2. A decent ranking system, more customizability, and a wider variety of matchmaking playlists would greatly improve the PVP experience on D2 in my opinion.

Really happy to see this. It feels good to know what Bungie does care.

Good job deej, and bungie. The lemmings are under control again because you acknowledged that the game could possibly have some flaws. That's how poor it has gone so far. The community set the bar as just simply acknowledging.
