And if you look over on Amazon you would see that those games are going for $30 or less. I mean, if you use only one website you're bound to find games at full price.
And once again, the idiotic statement that games on PC are cheaper is wrong again.
Its funny how you listed 2 different set of games.

Modifié par Psyntifik : 7/21/2016 1:45:28 AMYou found 6 month old games on Amazon for $30? Grats? Using spoilers because links are long. Good of you to point out Amazon for me. I already explained to you how the game in my first list aren't priced on CDKeys yet, but games that are, are at least 6 months old are $60... Again, with that in mind, where's the indication that they will be cheaper?
-
So you can find 6 month old games on Cdkey for less than $30 and it proves your point but when I find them on another website I can't prove mine? Wow you really don't want to wrong even when you. You want me to list Steam and Origin and see how the prices are on $60? In other words proving my point that games are not cheaper on PC unless you find a website that sells them for a lower price which also sell lower for console?
-
Can you find the price for BF1, Dishonored 2, Titanfall 2, Infinite Warfare or Mafia 3 on CDKeys? I couldn't. I had no choice but to use the latest multiplat games I could find. I would have used exactly the same games, but I couldn't. Again, with the information in mind that older games are $60, what do you think the price of new games will be? SimplyGames has pretty well priced console games, with PC only beating them on that site by a small margin. The main issue is that there isn't many PC games to choose from on there. The other option is to price a console game on SimplyGames against a PC game on CDKeys. But CDKeys still has them beat.

This is why you shouldn't use a third party website to tell me that PC games are cheaper because all of those 4 games where $60 on Steam and/or Origin. Those website are there to sell them cheaper in some cases than the first party vendors.
The other option is to price a console game on SimplyGames against a PC game on CDKeys. Those prices should not be used to back up the "Pc games are cheaper" because one can simply go to Ebay, Amazon or Gamestop and look for an used game and get it for a lower price than a Pc version.
Can you find the price for BF1, Dishonored 2, Titanfall 2, Infinite Warfare or Mafia 3 on CDKeys? I don't know where you are going with this question.
Honestly, nowhere far. I was just making a point that I couldn't find those games on CDKeys for console after you pointed out I used different examples. Are you able to find these games as cheap as their PC counterparts? That's what I was referring to in that quote. If you want to compare used/Pre-owned games, PC still competes with that (even on the rare occasion someone might get a new physical copy)
Honestly, nowhere far. I was just making a point that I couldn't find those games on CDKeys for console after you pointed out I used different examples. Are you able to find these games as cheap as their PC counterparts?
Maybe because those websites are mostly made for PC game and have recently expanded towards console. I don't know, its just a guess.
$60? Really?
I should've specified on launch date but the you would go back to using third party website instead of first. Oh and BTW, Battlefront is $40 on both platforms. So again, I just keep proving you wrong. But don't worry, you can still look for a third party website.
The other option is to price a console game on SimplyGames against a PC game on CDKeys. If you look for a cheaper version its obviously you're going to find it on any third party website. I don't know how PC competes on pre owned when most games come with a one time use Steam/Origin Code.
Maybe because those websites are mostly made for PC game and have recently expanded towards console. I don't know, its just a guess.
Right... So can you find TF2, DH2, BF1, Mafia 3 or Infinite Warfare anywhere on console for that cheap?
I should've specified on launch date but the you would go back to using third party website instead of first.
Well, yeah... Why pay $60 on Steam when I can pay $40 elsewhere? Do consoles have those options at launch?
I don't know how PC competes on pre owned when most games come with a one time use Steam/Origin Code.
By the time you're getting a Pre-owned game, it's been on HumbleBundle for $1 or in a Steam sale for less than $10 anyways.

Modifié par Moonman : 7/21/2016 3:07:38 AM
Right... So can you find TF2, DH2, BF1, Mafia 3 or Infinite Warfare anywhere on console for that cheap?
Well, on console you have to rely on the MS and Sony store for most of your games. Can you find your games cheaper than console at launch on Steam and Origin?
Well, yeah... Why pay $60 on Steam when I can pay $40 elsewhere? Do consoles have those options at launch?
So you're admitting that games are not cheap by default on PC? You're admitting that the base price is $60 as well? In that case your entire argument that PC games are cheaper just failed. In fact, why pay at all when you can get them for free on PC?
By the time you're getting a Pre-owned game, it's been on HumbleBundle for $1 or in a Steam sale for less than $10 anyways.
I want sources rather than opinion. If you own both platforms like I do, you would know that in less than week, you have used games on the store shelves.

Pre-owned on a new title isn't godly cheap on console. For example... https://www.humblebundle.com/ $15 nets you ALL of those games, notably Battleborn. Can you match Battleborn ( for $1.36)? http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/mirror-s-edge-catalyst-pc-cd-key-origin $30 Can you match ME:C? I mean, that's just two. If you want to link me a recent pre-owned console game price, I'll see if I can at least match it on PC.
-
You ca link the base price of each game for starter and not discounts.
-
They are base prices? :S
-
No, ME:C is at $60 https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/mirrors-edge-catalyst/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition Same as console Battleborn is at $60 as well http://store.steampowered.com/app/394230/ Same as console Offers like Humble Bundle or CDkeys, are not the base price.
-
Modifié par Psyntifik : 7/21/2016 11:35:08 PM
Offers like Humble Bundle or CDkeys, are not the base price.
CDKeys isn't an offer... I have the email to show you that that was the price I paid at launch. Either way, why would I use Steam or Origin and pay $60 when I can get it cheaper elsewhere?..
-
CDKeys isn't an offer... I have the email to show you that that was the price I paid at launch.
So you're telling me the way the display both the base price and their offer isn't an "Offer".
Either way, why would I use Steam or Origin and pay $60 when I can get it cheaper elsewhere?..
So you're not denying that PC games are cheaper? That's what it sounds like because if the base price is the same as console, then the whole PC games are cheaper is a lie. $60 on PC is not less than $60 on Console.
-
So you're telling me the way the display both the base price and their offer isn't an "Offer".
Right. I don't know why they do it like that. Maybe to show how cheap it is through their site compared to RRP? I honestly can't tell you. What I can tell you is that that page/price hasn't changed since before launch. Same with Division. (if I scanned through my library I could point out more. But those are the only two I remember buying from CDKeys off the top of my head)
So you're not denying that PC games are cheaper? That's what it sounds like because if the base price is the same as console, then the whole PC games are cheaper is a lie. $60 on PC is not less than $60 on Console.
This is just a confusing mess... I'm really not sure what you're asking here. You're looking at the highest possible price and saying "See!? Games do cost $60!". But so? This 'base price' thing you keep mentioning isn't important. What is important is that you can get a launch title significantly cheaper on PC than you can on console.
-
You can get anything cheaper if you find it at a discount. That doesn't mean that the base price is cheap as well. Base price is what you use to measure if an item is cheaper than another, not a store selling it a different price. Its like going to Gamestop to find a game at full price being $60 and then heading on to Best Buy and finding it at a 50% discount. Does that mean that the game is cheap by default? No, because the base price isn't $30, its $60.
-
Lol whatever. Let me know when you find those titles on Xbox cheaper than pc.
-
Modifié par Moonman : 7/22/2016 7:35:49 PMLet me know when you find a PC game that is on console with a cheaper base price. Anything is cheap at a discount.
-
No. It's being sold cheap. But whatever helps you sleep at night, dude.
-
So at a discount?
-
Modifié par Psyntifik : 7/22/2016 7:58:07 PMCall it what you want. Literally everywhere has these 'discounted' prices. The point is PC games can be bought for cheaper than console games. Are you able to find any 'discounted' prices? You're deluding yourself to think otherwise.
-
Modifié par Moonman : 7/22/2016 8:02:29 PMI can see a nice discount on Amazon for console games. The only person deluding himself here is you thinking that PC games are cheaper when the facts are there that the base price is the same.
-
Can you show me these prices cheaper than PC?
-
Is just got Rainbow Six for $25 dollars on Amazon. Does that mean the base price is $25? Answer this instead of avoiding it.
-
Does that mean the base price is $25? Answer this instead of avoiding it.
No. It doesn't. But does a 'base price' matter when you're buying it? This is something you aren't grasping. You're forced to pay this $60 'base price' at launch, whereas PC has a multitude of discounted prices before the game has even come out. http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/tom-clancy-s-rainbow-six-siege-pc-cd-key-uplay $21 And c'mon, really? R6? Find me a new game :p
