That would kill the series off. Unless they have like 5-10 choices per race, which I doubt they'd do because bethesda are becoming lazy.

Is it that they're becoming lazy or games are just much more demanding in terms of requirements...

I feel like bethesda are getting lazy but not because of this reason. They tried something new and it just didn't pay off, which is fair enough. The way the speech was in previous games worked just fine.
