What if The Elder Scrolls 6 has voice acting for the main character? Now I know it's unlikely that it will because of the flop that fallout 4 voice acting was and because it would be a serious task to do all of the races. What do you think will The Elder Scrolls 6 have voice acting or not and would it be good for the series or not?

1 commentaireI honestly don't care. After the farce i've had with Bethesda and Fallout 4 with regards to mods and how they treated mod authors. Not to mention I wasted money on a season pass for some of the worst DLC i've had the misfortune of owning. I won't be buying another game of theirs. I'm getting a free update for Skyrim I don't want or need but can't give away.

1 commentaireNo no no no no. I want my character to sound like how I want him to, not what Bethesda wants them to sound.
-
1 commentaireI like silent protagonists.

2 commentairesPreferably not, but if they do it, then at least improve your goddamn facial animation.
-
1 commentaireI would prefer a voiced protagonist ONLY if they recorded a voice for each race.
-
As long as they keep the "sarcastic" dialogue choice.
THAT WAS SATIRE PLEASE DONT KILL ME
6 commentairesInteresting question. I believe Todd Howard even acknowledged that they failed to deliver on a voice protagonist. So either they abandon it or know they need to up the quality. Personally I think they should keep the player character as a mute. This is one of BGS's weaknesses. And I think one of the joys of BGS RPG's is role playing as your avatar in this expansive and rich world. Whenever you add voice acting, no matter how much developers want to plug their ears and ignore this fact, you are creating a standalone character that is not the player. Players cannot "imagine themselves as these people" like you want them to.

1 commentaireThough i thought the voice acting in Fallout 4 was fine for both male and female protagonist, I'd prefer a mute character who speaks through dialogue options. I also want there to be more then the few voices we had in Skyrim.

6 commentairesNo no guys this is good. He totally -blam!-ing jinxed it, meaning, it won't happen

1 commentaireI'd prefer not. I'd also prefer they stick with the minimalist backstory, allowing me to come up with my own motivations for my character rather than forcing them upon me.
-
3 commentairesThat would kill the series off. Unless they have like 5-10 choices per race, which I doubt they'd do because bethesda are becoming lazy.
-
2 commentairesI liked how skyrim approached it. You were still a mute yet other people spoke. It should either stay that way or just make it text based.

1 commentairePlease Todd no
-
3 commentairesI just don't want every person to sound the same like in Skyrim.
-
1 commentaireWell if Todd Howard opted for a cinematic approach rather than the lazy Point A and Point B camera, it could work.
-
2 commentairesIf they do they must make the choices and meanings behind them very clear, I felt I had no real control over the dialog in FO4, often saying something different than what I thought he would.
-
Thet won't do it. Trust me.

4 commentairesThe way the female voice actor spoke a lot of the lines in Fallout 4 was cringe inducing. There's no other way for me to put it. I can't offer my opinion on the male voice actor because I don't play male characters, but I haven't heard anything good. If they do introduce voiced protagonists to the Elder Scrolls series, I hope they choose decent voice actors at the very least. I really hope they don't though.

1 commentaireIt won't

1 commentaireModifié par clopzo : 6/29/2016 3:43:06 PMPs I liked fallout 4 voice acting

2 commentairesThe voice acting in Fallout 4 is what ruined the whole choice aspect of conversations, they put too much emphasis into that and totally dumbed down the rest of the game. Really hope it isn't in Elder Scrolls next.

1 commentaireI think there is an recent article out there from an interview with Bethesda about voicing the main protagonist (ie. you) in Fallout 4. They got a lot of feedback that is just didn't work. What that means for future games isn't exactly clear but at the very least they realize it needs tweaking. Personally, I say leave your character without a voice. There are certain things that should still be left to the imagination.

1 commentaireGod no. It wasn't so much of a flop in fallout 4 (the voice acting was actually pretty good) but it really kills immersion and dialogue options. Skyrim simplified the gameplay already, we don't need the dialogue dumbed down too.

1 commentaireIt would be something cool to have but when it comes to mods it would be a pain, take Skyrim as an example You start talking to an npc then you pick an option that's added by a mod, the npc's lips move but no voice, it can break immersion, now imagine having the game constantly switching between voiced and text based conversations
