I think we all know by now, how anoying and completely against the purpose of it, auto-aiming, or aim-assist works on one-shot weapons.
For me personally, it's prioritized to the Sniper Rifle class.
When you finally have that perfect critical hit aim, on that major, over a decent distance. You gently squeeze the trigger, when suddenly a dreg comes allong, auto-aim takes over, and in result you miss both targets.
I think this is frustrating to anyone playing Destiny, and it's about time that it's being fixed.
Some of my friends hate this just as much for other one shot weapons, like the hand cannon and the scout rifle, but for me it particularly concerns the sniper rifle class.
I ask you, my fellow guardians, to bump this one up rapidly, so Bungie must take note of this, and fix this issue fast.
in my opinion, it's you who calls the shot on what classes shouldn't have the aim-assist, so i'll make a poll out of that.
I reckon we all want to see this changed!
Edit: Thanks for the voting everyone! We're near 150 votes in less then 24-hours!!
Edit 2: Nearly 300 votes! Thankyou community! Bungie must start taking note of this!

I agree that it should be toned down/removed for specific weapons, but Bungie will never do that for one simple reason. Accessibility. Aim Assist exists, so everyone and their dog can land a hit or two, no matter how bad they are at general aiming. That's why supers exist in PvP, so anybody can get some kills at least, no matter how bad they are. It's a feature to accomodate the average and below average player. And sadly but true, that's the majority of all players, so Bungie will never change it, it's as simple as that.

Aim assist just should have never been a dang stat per gun. That is probably the dumbest idea in an fps I have heard and experienced in awhile. Plus this games Aim Assist is just straight garbage. Playing the bo3 beta if someone were to run in front of the enemy i was shooting at, the gun did not pull away from me it stayed where I wanted it too. Not only that but nearly all other fps are like this. Just make aim assist an on and off option pus fix it to where you do not have to fight it!
-
Biased poll. No options for "aim assist should be toned down" or "aim assist is ok where it is." It should be toned down, not removed.

why is auto aim even IN a first person shooter? i get if it were a 3rd person, it kinda helps sorta but first person, how hard is it to put ur cursor/crosshair over what u want dead, aim and shoot at it, it makes no logical sense for it to be in a first person game
-
How about just the option to turn it off?
-
What about the turn off option
-
Give me manual-aim any day. For a guy like me who grew up in the age where auto-aim wasn't a thing I would love to go back to my roots in a game like this. No auto-aim for all guns, it pisses me off to no end.
-
Without auto aim you wouldn't even be near the dregs head or whatever you were aiming at before
-
It would be so funny to see the majority of people that think they're good at pvp start crying. Killzone is exactly how it would be, only harder, due to the much faster character movement in Destiny. I think it's a good idea, widen the skill gap. Would be interesting.

It was the most jarring thing when I started playing destiny. I hate having to freaking wrestle with auto-aim to shoot what I'm trying to shoot.
-
For rocket launchers
-
Auto aim has to stay for revolvers. It's part o the weapon function
-
Or at least weapon perks that clearly disable it
-
At the very least you should have the option to disable auto aim because I and all of my friends greatly share this very same frustration. When I'm aiming for a specific target within a moving group, they might as well be Neo as with the "help" of aim assist, my bullets go anywhere but on target. All that's missing is the Matrix bullet-dodging effect.

I was really looking for an option to turn off or on aim assist in your poll Options!
-
Have you noticed that no matter what weapon your firing that the enemies cross paths when you are trying to bring one down then swap to the other? The auto aim tracks the one who is trying too draw fire. I think Bungie put the auto aim in with no way too turn it off to make it more difficult for fire teams to bring down a specific enemy. The answer to your question is YES the AA has/needs too go from all weapons... Will Bungie even consider it? My guess is no as it artificially makes certain task more difficult and they are all about slowing down progression in any way possible. Well all about that and screwing weapons up.

B.U.M.P

Auto aim? Never had it
-
I want the option to turn it on/off
-
I agree but more for a toggle option
-
Where's the "auto aim should have a toggle" option?
-
How bout none
-
Definitely should be removed from supers, sniper rifles and hand cannons. I HATE lining up a shot only to have it track a TEAM MATE that ran in front of me... Ugh
