Yo I always thought D3 should be in the far future like that, too. Get us away from the old/dilapidated aesthetic and give us a new golden age to play in, in our solar system and beyond. Also less reliance on “old gear” leftover from the past. I’m dismayed to think that the “all-in” on D2, and the fact that the Veil or whoever is already here, means we won’t be heading that direction. But who can say, it’s all supposition in my part.
