I wouldnt trust ana as far as I could throw her. And I could throw her scrawny body pretty far.

I really hate the idea of Uldren Sov's guardian incarnation becoming hunter vanguard. I'm pretty familiar with Uldren as a character and he was a badass warrior of the reef. maybe the most badass, but the idea that his fresh slate revived self, with zero affiliation to the tower, vanguard, or anything that is going on the cosmic war, and just getting the vanguard title because..... people think it makes a nice ending to his story? He's had literally a year or two of life to get his bearings and according to the lore cards from the last winter event, he's pretty much just been hiding out on Earth trying not to provoke angry guardians that recognize his former self. Anna Bray already turned down the hunter vanguard position (unprompted) in a lore entry where Zavala tries to comfort Anna after the Pyramids take out Rasputin. However I admit I had her pegged as the next hunter vanguard for a long time, assuming when she stopped doin her solo jazz it would be the perfect re-entry into the tower/guardian life. Shiro-4 is an excellent candidate for hunter vanguard but (and i could definitely be wrong about this) I dont think shiro-4 is fond of the vanguard as it kinda cost them their two best friends, andal brask, and Cayde-6, the first and second hunter vanguards respectively. Interestingly enough, the hunter vanguard position is the only one where the position holder is replaced due to being killed in action. Technically Saint-14 was replaced by Zavala when he disappeared in the infinite forest, but as we all know, he doesnt technically die, or at least anymore, (Time Jazz is weird). All warlock and titan vanguard leaders are still alive. I would still really like to see Eris become the hunter vanguard. i always figured Anna and Eris were the last two really big Hunter names from before the collapse. Everyone that's been around awhile will tell you how strong these ladies are and they're already always working to save humanity. Literally everyone thinks of Eris as someone who can handle themselves, no matter the odds, and Anna Bray is legendary in terms of her Solar Class capabilities! Hell, there are still hotspots left from the battle at six fronts!

Shiro is the best choice right now. Lots of players like him, and he has connections vanguard and was a friend of Cayde (if I remember correctly). Ana basically ditched in the middle of twilight gap to pursue her own interests. Uldren has a lot of potential if they really expand of his character, give him a proper redemption arc and making him the Hunter Vanguard down the road. That probably has the best narrative potential out of the 3 options if done right.

Possibly Ana if she moves into the tower. I doubt we will see Shiro 4

Not this again, Uldren won’t be Vanguard because of some Hunter agenda, but because the Traveler wants him there. So honestly it should be Shiro.
