This does feel like what people were referring to when they said 'nerf that thing? Why not just nerf everything and we can shoot marshmallows at each other'
It's like a prophecy come true

Some nerf were needed such as thorn and TLW. Bungie hears that and says " oh you want a thorn last word nerf? Ok we will nerf the whole -blam!-ing weapon type." They always over do it.
-
They've said in interviews that because of the way they built the first game they had to nerf every gun in a weapon class or none of them. The example they gave was having to nerf scout rifles as a whole because cryptic dragon was too strong. That's why perks are fixed in D2, so they can tune individual guns instead of the entire weapon class.
-
I didn't know that. That's insane short sightedness on their part.
-
Yes! Always with the overcorrection then a "you wanted this" statement.
-
Considering how much the community cried nerf in Destiny 1 I find this situation hilarious. This is what everyone wanted. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Certain folks may have, but I never requested a nerf for any weapon. At least I don't recall any
-
Alas... I was one of those "shoot marshmallow" prophets. I have no one to blame but myself. :-( lol
-
No, you were trying to warn us. It wasn't heeded and here we are
-
I know we are wielding the equivalent of whites and blues in terms of weapons, but my weapons feel rather weak. Bring on the mallow madness!!!
-
Edited by Redgrin Grumble: 7/20/2017 2:15:33 PMDestiny in Y1 had a few blue weapons that were pretty damn decent.
-
Remember a blue pulse rifle called the evergreen? That thing was a monster.
-
F#ck yeah dude, that was the weapon that got me using pulse rifles.
-
I also still have a blue hand cannon called the nifty biscuit that's also pretty good
-
I agree sir. I'm hoping full release brings some that qualify as decent. Haha
-
Honestly, the auto rifle feels alright when I was playing it (perhaps due to the slow TTK) but my issue is that everything else is irrelevant beyond primaries
-
I haven't got the fancy auto yet. I suppose I'm just rebelling against the devs for changing what made destiny 1 fun to me. The chaos. Still excited for story! I was rocking some hard core chill bumps during the intro scenes and other cut scenes.
-
No I'm with you on the rebelling thing. Pvp is like 'what made destiny pvp fun? Super abilities, other space magic, guns that'll play at different ranges and different ranges only? Let's just scrap all that and make it halo'
-
Perfect way to look at it. I felt like I was playing halo 4 (and maybe 5 a bit) last night.
-
Exactly I feel the same. And I hate halo pvp. Lol I want to play destiny not halo.
-
Yes. And to the folks that say "go play destiny 1" No! I choose to "rebel" because I loved d1 and I want D2 to have those lovely qualities. I'm still super excited about the story. And pve may be better when we actually get true exotic gear, but pvp seems for the birds.
-
Halo at least has more power weapons in play, range to fight at (because god knows the maps are too small again), and you can pick up power weapons off of the people you kill
-
And we spawn with nades in halo, right?
-
2, actually. Both can kill if you land them at their feet
-
Yes! So we've even neutered the somewhat neutered version of destiny! Stop the neutering!
