My problem with theism is that while there are billions of people-Muslims, Christians, Catholics, and Jews- who believe in and worship the God of Abraham, there are almost as many different opinions on what that God wants and what his followers should believe. They can't agree on whether or not homosexuality is OK, whether or not evolution is real, and so many other things. There are so many different ways of worshipping the same deity that, even if I believed in God, I'd have no idea what I was supposed to do about it.

Use history. It starts with Judaism. Up until Jesus that was it, and you had to be born into it. After Jesus you had Christianity, followed after by Islam. Chrisitanity believes Jesus was the savior sent to Earth so that everyone could come to heaven through him, Islam doesn't have a messianic figure unless you want to count Mohammed. Which still doesn't address the fact that without Jesus as a savior only Jews can get into heaven. Catholicism is just a Christianity sect.

Even within those denominations people don't agree.

There are very few differences between the main denominations. Is that all you disagree with with what I said?
