I'm not sure anyone ever said that officially. It's a little tiny foil hat sounding if you ask me. But it really contradicts the huge amount of posts claiming SBMM has made everyone's matches a "sweaty lag fest". That does have some merit. But saying I lose because some hidden hand pairs me with terrible players every time is kind of weak. And really goes against the definition of "skill based". My guess is the OP is so focused on his K/D he's stealing everyone's kills and may be not be effectively supporting his team.

I don't necessarily disagree, OP is a moron that needs to PTFO, but you can see it in action. The problem is the system is so half assed that it can make games extremely sweaty and/or extremely unbalanced at the same time. It's just trying to make the net sum for the two teams in your lobby a 1:0 w/l. If it gets 12 guys close to a 1, then the players are fairly balanced. And the match is super sweaty. If it gets 12 guys that have a wider range from 1.0, then it isn't actually balanced and the better players get sweaty trying to carry the match while the lesser players get sweaty not trying to get stomped by the better players. If you spend enough time in random and preformed teams, it's pretty easy to pick up on the trends in the game. I'm sure a lot more people use it as an excuse than are really impacted by it, which kind of hides the issue. At the end of the day, it really just shows that Bungie's crucible crew are less than stellar at their jobs.

You may actually be right. I'm not in that top tier so the negative effects of SBMM don't hit me. I'm as casual as it gets.

SBMM works well for the vast majority of players that are average, but it sucks for the minority of players that invest the majority of time into the game. (Hopefully that makes sense). The shitty thing is it doesn't have to be that way, but Bungie's matchmaking system is extremely lazy and ineffective.

I agree there. For 90 or so percent of us it protects us from animals like you (lol) but for you elite guys you end up paired with other effective players that may not be effective because they are good. I.E. bad connection or cheating. It seems from what you've said there may be some sort of protocol that shortens your matchmaking time by back filling with less skilled players. So, unfortunately, the OP may have a slightly valid point. But that point is overshadowed by his obsession with his precious KD and lack of awareness on how to actually win matches. If both teams have only one or two "good" players and the rest casual then he's going to lose every time because he's the star of his team and he literally is capturing zero times in a game of zone control.

Firstly) I'm not beastly. Probably firmly above average and below excellence. Secondly) I agree. Sadly a lot would be fixed if they just considered a few of their policies. Have you ever wondered why it breaks up your fireteam when you mercy someone, instead of removing the losing team and finding a new match? Isn't it weird they don't keep winning teams together?
