I know what he said sounds terrible but in reality thats exactly what a sniper does. A sniper sits back and picks out the enemy from behind the team. A sniper will never be that guy that gets like 30 kills like the guy leading but the sniper will provide cover fire while being able to probably save his teammates if possible. In a game like destiny its almost impossible to save anyone but its still possible. Being a sniper does not mean being a coward, it means precision kills will eliminate the highest threat on the battlefield. Destiny is unfortunately one of those games that give snipers a bad name because everyone carries a sniper and the help from hitboxes, aim assist, body damage, etc. its just not fun because primary guns suck so everyone carries snipers or shotguns.
