It is a curious thing isn't it? I never did understand people's negative reactions to spanking on the backside. I have often contemplated if the decreased practice of negative reinforcement in raising a child is the reason why we have so many people now a days who get triggered so easily when life throws something negative their way. I feel they are not as equipped to handle those situations and so they are forced to revert to an "error" state (triggered) like when you give a computer a function it doesn't know how to handle/compile. I feel both positive and negative reinforcement are required in order to give a child the best opportunity to succeed in the rough journey of life.
