For someone who has never done the raid could you do it your first run or you should get experience before touching it? I have seen mixed answers on the subject. Some say it's the easiest job in the raid, some say only trusted people should hold it.

I think you should give everybody a chance, ... except titans, they're not agile enough.

Its funny because in my group im the most experienced relic holder.. And im a level 29 titan...
-
Well, I haven't got a titan, so I have to believe what my team tells me ;)
-
Well that certainly isn't true.

Oh I totally understand. And some times you will be warped in and will have to use it. I've gone in with ransoms and just let them practice using it starting from my Atheon CP just so they can get time with it. But again. Lvl makes a huge difference.

Edited by SerenityNOWWW: 11/3/2014 5:10:29 PMI teach VoG on a weekly basis. I always ask if anyone wants to take a shot. With good instructions and a little bit of skill, they can handle the relic well. It is, however, an important job to just casually hand off to new players. So I can see why people wouldn't want new players running it. It's definitely easy once you get a good handle on it, but it also has a learning curve, and is probably the most important job to have done well.

I personally only trust a few people to use the shield. And often it should be someone of higher lvl. Lower lvl members can not deal enough damage or take a hit. I also feel at lower lvl we seem almost less evasive of shots fired.

That makes total sense to me, but a couple of people told me to learn how to use it before people will raid with me. How am I supposed to if people won't include me to get experience first? It's so backwards. Lol
