I'd like to add, that while the general strategy is to jump onto the middle platform during Time's Vengeance, if the relic holder posts up near/behind the pillars where the team first enters the arena (back middle) it may be easier to stay alive/survive the onslaught, granted people keep up to date on the suicide harpies. I mention this because of many reasons, which I'll detail. The first reason has to do with the volatility that can entail when just trying to get to the middle platform. I've mistimed a jump on a Hunter and missed completely quite a few times. That's not to mention the platform is completely exposed, so if someone happens to land on it early, and not be paying attention to the 'help up' relic holder, they're more than likely dead on the spot. The second reason is that, in the instance of coming out of the Portals blind (relic holder being unaware or whatever) or on the verge of being blind, it's nigh impossible to tell where the ledges are, and how far away you are to suicide. This can prove quite horrible if the Relic guards become blind on the way out of the portal, or on the way to Middle. It generally means you're dead no matter what. And thirdly, while consolidating the two previous reasons, heading to the Back Middle seems far more safe. Sure, you can be owned by Harpies there, but considering that it'll be easier to get to (no ledges to miss, or platforms to jump onto) it makes players that are blind, or horrible at jumping, able to get to with relative ease. There's also a LOT of cover between the portals and the particular spots I'm referring to, there's even a pillar on each side to hide behind should things be going wrong. Not to mention there's far less death involved during the 'Vengeance is going down, need to scatter' phase. You simply step left or right and boom, you're behind a rather impervious pillar of life protecting goodness. Where-as getting in and out of that middle platform, in my experience has led to quite a many deaths. Be it by falling off, missing the jump, the shield going down while people are still on the platform (this is normally due to either Vengeance running out, or the Relic Holder letting it go too early), hell I've even seen people die, somehow, while standing inside the Vengeance Shield. It's merely a thought. I've seen a few groups do it the 'middle platform way', I've seen people do it the 'out of a portal and straight behind a pillar' way, and I've been party to both methods myself once or twice. They both have their downsides, and neither of them is perfectly fail proof. But I feel the pillar method seems far safer, and a lot more newb/random friendly.
