Don't forget that if you jump off the ledge with the relic when Atheon is down to 1/10th of his life (just before he's about to die), you [b]DRAMATICALLY[/b] increase his drop rates, and pretty much[u] [b]guarantee at least one exotic each[/b].[/u]
I got Hawkmoon, Atheon's Epilogue, and the shader for doing it, and one of my mates got the raid sniper and Gjallahorn.
Try it! Your team mates will love you for it.

While jumping off the ledge, repeatedly shout "LOL" down the microphone as you fall to give your teammates a clear idea of what you're doing.
Amongst us raiding pros, [b]LOL[/b] actually means: [b]LOTS OF LOOT[/b]. They'll recognise your skill and knowledge and respond accordingly

Just before you yell LOL you should say YOLO it will increase the drop rate by 2.5%. But this only seems to work for tools

Actually I've finished Raid on Normal today, and our teammate with relic got killed somehow just before killing Atheon and the loot was lot better than usually. I got Atheon's Epilogue, Plan C, and legendary Sparrow instead of Shards as usually.

Pure RNG. I've had raids like that. Unless you can do it a few times in a row with it working for everyone, chalk it up to luck.
