Coming from a relic noob, you might want to also add: the power runs out: I used a super inside the portal to shoot an Oracle but then when the guys needed cleansing there wasn't any power left.

Cleanse and super are on different timers. Cleanse is grenade timer.

Ya, should only need to hold cleanse for a couple seconds. We set up rally points to meet at for cleanse. If oracle slayers stay together, cleanse is quicker.
