Its not that serious, this community gets so toxic for something so small and stupid. The puzzle is just something bungie wanted players to figure out since streamers are starving for puzzles and figuring them out in less than an hour. This is the first puzzle where the community couldn’t figure it out, its actually quite fun, the forge has now been unlocked so calm down and carry on.

That's the only defense of this. That Bungie honestly didnt' think it'd take over 30 hours. But then they set EVERYTHING up to prevent it from being solved efficiently. So that defense only goes but so far. Datto was reputed to have said "This isn't Destiny" before he finally gave up trying to solve it. If he did....he's right....and I agree with him. That kind of puzzle solving is part of the raid experience.....and to have paid content being held hostage from the rest of the community while this dog-and-pony show played out.....was completely tone-deaf. It was a bone thrown to streamers and their subs....that just walked over the legitimate needs and expectations of the average player.
