Bungo a large part of the community paid for content that is locked until someone solves your stupid riddles. If your intention was to piss off your player base then good job. Don't advertise it as a dlc or added content that was paid for hint hint... if it's not available for your average player to complete. i.e. not a streamer or crypto analyst.
A large part of the community has no interest in the lore but it's nice as back story and for the few gamers who care.
And even larger part of the community dislikes or hates puzzles that's part of why they are playing a FPS not Sudoku. If you want to put some stuff like you did before like emblems or maybe even an exotic quests step that requires completing a puzzle fine. But whomever thought this was a good idea should be looking for a new job.
A large number of the community are solo players... Way to exclude and be prejudice against them once more. At least with the implementation of match making for most things they can complete whatever, but the Niobe puzzle is designed for a fireteam. Lastly your average player works 9-5 then comes home plays for a few hours then off to bed and up early the next day to start again. This move with Niobe Labs is a big middle finger to if not all but most of your dwindling player base and supporting fans. Thanks for the punch in the D, time to trade this game in for something else.
Sincerely,
A LOST LONGTIME SUPPORTER AND FAN.

11 RepliesDon't like it? don't play it 👍
-
Cool story bro now bye bye
-
4 Repliesit was solved the day after haha grow up theres more important problems than that going on. like idiots queueing up in the forges to try and get carried but not doing a damn thing to help. I cannot complete bergusia ive been trying for almost 2 hours now and most of the matching is teams of 2 low light or 1 player afk trying to milk for completion its sickening

3 RepliesCalm your ass down, its not the end of the world so put your sign down ffs. They tried something new, god forbid, it didn't pan out as intended so they fixed it and unlocked the Labs. I would honestly prefer them try out new things and sometimes fail than to sit around and cater to entitled children the entirety of the game.

67 RepliesMan if I were Bungie I’d just say f*ck this game and this community and walk away. God forbid Bungie tries to be innovative and make the game more interesting than simply pointing and shooting the same ads over and over while also attempting to bring the community together to solve a puzzle. Like that’s a cool idea!!! The posts on these forums should be ones talking about certain combinations that might work or certain lore that might give us insight, not f*cking riots. Overall I don’t think this community deserves a good game anymore, and if I were Bungie I’d throw in the towel and walk away.
-
Why do I get the feeling you want this game to be just another CoD? They tried, it didn't work, but that doesn't mean you need to shove their nose in shit for it. Also, they can't just adhere to solo players or clans. I think this community will be better off without someone who wants things handed to them.
-
Lol yeah a an optional puzzle that gives you an emblem is the end of the world AAAHHHH IS THAT THE SKY?! ITS FALLING!!!!

11 RepliesJesus your are the epitome of everything wrong with this generation and gaming community. The content was released YESTERDAY for Christ’s sake and you all are b*tching and complaining. Omg this is the downfall I paid for this content and it’s too difficult to figure out in 24 hours wahhhh. Un-f’n-believable. And shame on Bungie for not having the balls to stand behind what they created. Congrats you entitled babies

1 ReplyEdited by Infamous067: 1/10/2019 3:03:07 PMIts not that serious, this community gets so toxic for something so small and stupid. The puzzle is just something bungie wanted players to figure out since streamers are starving for puzzles and figuring them out in less than an hour. This is the first puzzle where the community couldn’t figure it out, its actually quite fun, the forge has now been unlocked so calm down and carry on.
-
I beg to differ, it started a long time ago, trouble is the sycophants aren't getting the message.

7 RepliesEdited by Whopping Dingers: 1/9/2019 8:07:56 PMThe introduction of Trials. There is your downfall. Niobe Labs is just one of the many nails. The sooner Trials dies the better.
-
Eh, it's not that bad. They're releasing the new forge anyways. I more hope the add a version of the labs without the puzzles. I'm down to fight waves of enemies, but I don't feel like youtubing symbol patters just to complete the activity.
-
In hind sight the downfall was obviously d2 in general not Niobe labs. This game just doesn’t have the same relationship between the community:the game : the developers as d1.

I am Tom Riddle

Wait, I thought the Division was the downfall of Destiny?
-
Once they unlocked the forge, I completed the forge and got Jotun + Izanagi within 2-3 hours. I also saw plenty of Jotuns/Izanagi in the wild after 2-3 hours. And im a solo player.

1 ReplyI think that Niobe Labs is fine. It’s nice to have a cool puzzle that people can work on over time. The problem is that black armory did not have much content, and part of it was gated by someone solving this. It’s debatable what should be expected for $20 though. An alternate approach would be to not do the content gate in the future, instead giving the first team that solves the puzzle something like early access to TLW quest or some other exotic that everyone else will not have for a while.
-
8 RepliesThe 99% are paying for content that is made for the 1%. Feels like Bungie is kicking us in the balls.
-
3 Repliesyou know about lfg right and communities an average player couldve solved the puzzle the problem was just they didnt give us time but because YOU ARER ALL SO -blam!-ING SALTY YOU CRY ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS
-
2 RepliesD2 release was the beginning of the downfall of Destiny.
-
Painfully obvious a small skeleton crew works Destiny whilst the main Bungie teams work with NETEASE on the new Chinese project.
-
3 RepliesI believe I’ve read somewhere that the average gamer is in their teens so I’m doubtful the average player works 9-5. Now your argument could have been used almost word for word for outbreak prime but no one minded that which is why I don’t get the uproar now. Coolest exotic in destiny for arguably 2 years is locked behind a fire team quest that is anything but casual friendly. I’d speculate bungie made this puzzle based off community reactions towards outbreak prime. This dlc was supposed to be trickled content and people don’t seem to get that so yeah they could and should have either made outlet expectations more aware of the incoming puzzle. But I can’t recall a puzzle they added that people hated so far. Just my thoughts on it
-
You guys need to lighten up.
-
A little overdramatic, don’t you think? It doesn’t mark the downfall of D2. It does provide a very good display to bungie of how not to do a content release in the future, though.
-
Oh god you guys are pathetic...
