I'd much prefer those type of perks than stuff like oracle disrupter or ones that increases reload whilst the oversoul is active. Those perks were so situational.
Why wouldn't you want all solar damage increased, every solar subclass is powerful.

No just no, this is the better option and I'm glad they went with it.

I hope they keep the “increased heavy drop” perk though. That was the best one.
