It's almost like you could still use LFG site and fill in the blanks via matchmaking. 🤦♂️

Ok let's take this slow... If there was matchmaking you could use it OR still use an LFG site. So you could still find what your referring to as viable teammates. Let me know if I lost you.

If someone gets error coded/ lagged out of the Raid matchmaking would replace the individual. Or you run into the situation where someone opts to swap their character and they get replaced due to matchmaking. Without an option to completely remove a fireteam from the matchmaking process, as in matchmaking will not attempt to fill empty spaces within a fireteam unless the fireteam leader request for it, adding matchmaking will affect teams even when they don't want it to effect them.

Just because they could make an additional option of finding a team doesn't mean they should. Raids take coordination, communication and teamwork. Which means most people will be picky and search LFG for others with the right qualifications. Leaving matchmaking for the noobs. [spoiler]When I want a good whisky, I get me a well aged speyside scotch. I don't barge in a shop blindfolded and randomly point my finger at some bottle. That's how you end up with fat Margret's bathwater. Does that make me an elitist? Maybe. But I won't be drinking bathwater. And neither should you.[/spoiler]

Well yeah, since you're overleveled. Yet implementing matchmaking in one raid would mean implementing it in all raids.
