The roll of the armor that drops is random, yessss?
But if you are willing to pay for it, you can buy armor until you get the roll you want. More costly of money, but less of time. Less of griiiiind. But a glimps of the pay-to-win to come.

Seriously not trying to be a dick, but what the hell perks are you going to spend money to buy and what advantage are they going to give you?

Sol- I posted this earlier on this thread: "If you don't think that a Hunter that plays sniper with a full set of 5/5/0 armor with sniper perks, armor perks to their subclass, damage resistance perks for arc to help counter Stormcallers and Strikers, and maximizes whatever ability refill they feel best suits them with doesn't provide SOME sort of edge than frankly I'm done talking to you." Armor perks aren't gamebreaking, but they do provide an edge. End game users that have gear at the light level they want can now choose between grinding for gear to achieve the perks they want vs. buying RNG rolls through micotransactions. Weapon perks? Everyone not with their head up their ass knows how powerful those can be in skilled hands. People WILL be spending money on this, have NO DOUBT. And in the next DLC we're for sure to have this option for weapons. Don't think so? Fine. Let's circle back to this topic this fall and see who gets to say "I told you so".

I don't want to sound like im being rude but it doesn't matter if you can buy gear with random perks its the general rule or like the original post said like a glimpse to buy power. You play, you earn, or you buy you play(i know they are 3 defense too but we still need to wait til we get the april update to see if bungie is heading down a the said path)
