I did 12 matches tonight. I’m at 36%. I feel dumb for even bothering. I was really looking forward to having something new to do. I don’t know why I got my hopes up. I should be used to disappointment with this series by now. There’s definitely fun to be had but it’s marred by bad design choices and this impractical blend of game modes. I guess it’s time to put the game down for now. Until next season at the very least. There’s nothing left for me at the moment.

Don’t care. It’s not fun. Makes no sense to play a game if it’s not fun for me. Feeling like a work or chore is the opposite of what I want a game to feel like.

I did. I’ll be playing it again this weekend. The only thing Destiny has for me right now is the weekly curse and offering missions. I want to see where that story is going. Looks like the Queen may have left this week though so that may not even be a thing anymore. I’m just tired of having my experience so heavily dictated when it doesn’t have to be that way. I will never understand their intense aversion to player options.

If you can get to 36% then you can finish it. Use long range guns, stay close to your teammates. It’s really not so hard.

It’s not worth the annoyance and frustration. If it’s not at all fun for me, why bother? When a video game is not fun, there’s no incentive to play it.

I’m just average at pvp and got it in 6 matches. 2 of those I made no progress because of playing against good teams. I thought it would be harder to be honest.

Honestly, I don’t really care about challenge. At least not over it being fun. That doesn’t make it more rewarding for me. I don’t want it to be a cake walk, but I do want it to be enjoyable. I don’t find the crucible to be enjoyable at all. I’d rather run around in the universe doing something that would take three times as long to complete. That’s why I like Destiny. For its universe. I don’t want to battle other guardians.
