Story what story? If this guy was wrote the original story for destiny then good riddance.

The original story was amazing (read writers notes) but he left before he even finished Earth because he found out how much bungie were charging for the DLC's and he didn't want to be apart of that.

Yeah the ORIGINAL story for this game was amazing. Plus the lore for this game is very good. However unfortunately none of this is in the game. With Marty's and the original writer departure Bungie before destiny release wasn't good signs of this game being as epic as halo was.
