Haven't read this, would love to see a link.
However, if this is true, good.
Bungie had always said, the plan was only to ever take the game through what would be "comet" now TTK.
Destiny 2, should be current gen only, it won't survive if it's held back by last gen. That's why they let you carry your Alt across platforms. So you can play now, while you wait to upgrade.
If you still don't own a One or a PS4 by 2016, you aren't a serious gamer.

"People who are poor now have always been poor!"
-
Ok... so then if you are talking so let about poor people. What does this have to do with OP'S point? Or my point for that matter? Feelings towards the poor aside. Am I not supposed to enjoy my games? Should I say, poor people can't be gamers, so I shouldnt? For that matter should we continue to support last gen? You are a special kind of troll.
-
I take issue with your assumption that Those Greedy Poor People want to continue lastgen compatibility to -blam!- all y'all who can afford all the new games. Specifically. I'm not contending your point that it was never in the cards for 360 to have Destiny past TTK. I'm not contending that people should upgrade at some point. I am challenging your shitty assertion that JUST BECAUSE you don't have a current gen console, you're 'not a serious gamer'. In the end me playing Destiny on my 360 has NO EFFECT on you! Wow! Who would've thought!?!? Clearly you understand very little about the mechanics of not having enough money in American society. It's not a straight divide. You don't have enough or flat have nothing. Sometimes you straddle the two. I agree that people should upgrade at some point but try not to be an asshole about/to people who can't afford it and god forbid we enjoy OUR lives, too. Lmao.

-blam!-ing bump This guy gets it

Edited by Grimace221: 7/14/2015 12:19:30 AMWhat the hell did I say about "greedy poor people" you are a special kind of stupid. I was pointing out your troll. Actually, last gen does affect current gen. Bungie has even admitted this when it comes to things like vault space, and the overall size of the environments. Secondly, I didn't say upgraded by now, I said by 2016. And yeah, whether you like it or not, you aren't a serious gamer if you haven't upgraded by then. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with going back to the old stuff for fun, he'll I still break out my Nintendo on occassion. But the 360/ps3 have already been crowned the longest lasting generation of systems, their hardware is outdated and it shows. And yeah I understand finaces, but if you are "straddling" the two as you say. You probably should make better decisions than games.
-
Honestly, I wouldn't call you ignorant, I'm sure you aren't, however the word arrogant fits better your original reply, specially with your "I upgraded so -blam!- the rest" attitude and it's fine, we are all entitled to an opinion
-
It's not -blam!- the rest. It's a simple matter of 360 and ps3 are old as hell. No console has ever lasted this long, and it is starting to show. Destiny has already been stunted by this game being in last gen, and it's going to kill it if Destiny 2 is.
And yeah I understand finaces, but if you are "straddling" the two as you say. You probably should make better decisions than games.
I haven't been buying games, but ok. Not to mention the fact that whenever I get the chance to treat myself to something nice I take it because they don't come along that often. As for vault space stuff and environment size it was to my understanding that these things are only affected for last gen users and not current gen. Was I mistaken?
-
They can't patch the new gen because last gen can't handle it
-
If you're too poor why are you spending money on xbl/ps+ and unnecessary video games?
-
Look 60 bucks for Live is way cheaper than a new console lmfao and my point is that not everybody can afford to drop that money on a leisure buy. We're busy paying for electricity, internet, and food.
-
Put 15$ a week in a drawer and buy it by Christmas
-
Id put Internet and ANY video games in the leisure category. Used systems have been popping up as well. Wrong area to be crying poverty.
-
See: "people who are poor now have always been poor". I've had my games and shit for years. And my household's primary source of income is based on internet work and trade so idk what you do for a living but internet is absolutely a necessity for me.
-
Xbl/psn is a hefty yearly fee if you're skint, current games (like destiny and its expansions) are not cheap. I'll give you the internet based job bit. Your priorities are skewed if you're struggling to survive but opt for entertainment. No excuses. All the best with your money making endeavours.
-
If you're a moron who doesn't know how to use the internet, you can get XBL for an average of $40 a year. If someone can't afford that, they shouldn't be gaming online.
-
Someone who can't skimp and save over two years for a used system has no argument when their old system gets left behind.
-
Exactly. If you have a job, it shouldn't be that hard to put aside some money for a new console. If its that difficult, you shouldn't have gaming as a hobby.
