Thanks for the info. I tried it yesterday and I soloed the weekly strike faster than I usually do. I was glad I had Radiance up for my Arcanist 'cause I was killed there once by two series of perfectly angled rockets launched by the boss. So it's not as safe as below the stairs, but it offers better shooting angles.
