Not "cheesing" at all, IMHO. If they can take away elemental burn, why can't we use the environment to our advantage?

So you have to play there way. Bungue is the little brat that says " my ball, my rules..wha, wha, Mommy nobody will play with me!" How many fights in round rooms with no real cover, and even invisible they know where you sre, or should you be in an open area with clear line of sight to snipe from 1km they know the second you pull out your sniper rifle.

There is also an ridiculous amount of splash damage that tends to make cover useless.

Yup and the rate and volume of fire ...can see nothing beyond the hive boomers, darkness blast, wire rifles , slug rifles...rounds flying by. Leave firing blindly or risk siezures going for precision shots.
